Amazing food, fish cook perfectly chips are really chunky and cook perfect. this is our 3rd time here now and the food is always spot on. Highly recommended and fed me and the Mrs for £12
Was a bit irritated to find out that their online ordering system is very ambiguous. I ended up with twice as many portions of large chips and mushy peas than I actually wanted. when I try to explain to the staff their response was, “well you’ll know for next time”. I’ll be honest the food is usually pretty good here, but on this occasion the fish was somewhat over cooked. In light of the above experience, I think I’ll find elsewhere in the future.
The food here is good. We enjoy taking away from here. The room you wait in is quite cold and if I was to eat I feel that It would be quite cold and the food wouldn't stay warm long. Otherwise no concerns. Lovely staff and good food.Food: 5/5
Spent almost £50. Took about 30 minutes to make my order, this is too long. While waiting for my order I saw 6-8 deliveroo orders completed, giving priority to the deliveries rather than people sitting waiting is bad customer service. The fish was tasty, but I was very disappointed with the quantity of food for the money. The fish portions are smaller than they used to be and the volume of chips is far less than before. We arrived home to eat and found that the baked beans had not been put in.... Too late, I'm not going back for beans. I believe that the cardboard boxes are the quality problem, go back to wrapping it up in paper and put your quantities back to what they were. The boxes are limiting your ability to give proper portions. You need to have a numbered ticket that works so that walk in customers aren't penalised by the online order system, this seemed to be a different number system and took priority. I will be going elsewhere in future. Parking: There isn't any. The co-op have put a parking company in charge of what were free spaces.
Would of given this place 5 stars if it wasn't for the greeting...don't get me wrong it wasn't a rude welcome I received but you could tell the difference when a regular customer came in to order after me! Massive smiles all round for them, but I'm just being fussy Fish and chips was very good though, will definitely go there again for takeaway
I was very disappointed, Very young staff without adult supervision present, that preferred to chat amongst themselves rather than deliver service, led to an unreasonably long wait for myself and the other customers. The Cod portions were small and over cooked and the chips were under cooked, I listened to some of the dialogue taking place for an indication as to what was the delay, all the cod was already cooked for the orders and the chips were also ready, but none of the orders were being fulfilled. probably explains why the cod was overcooked anyway. I did pass another fish and chip takeaway to get to Perillas, next time I will go there instead.
The building and the kitchen is spotless which shows the reliable food hygiene. Staff are always friendly and nice to me and my child. Everything is fairly priced and very tasty. I think their frying oil is one of the highest quality. The fish smells very very good This is by far the best Fish and chips take away and we even hesitate to move house from the reach when we had to. The picture I post is their breaded prawn which I fell in love. I bought take away and dish them up at home.
First time in using and I got to say the food was excellent portion size great value, staff very friendly and polite, so give it a try as I will be going back
Omg!! I've tried so hard to find a decent chippy and now I've finally succeeded. Everything about this is gorgeous. Lovely deliver driver also. Don't second guess, just order yours!
Enjoyed the fish. Batter was great and freshly cooked. Chips good and mushy peas amazingFood: 4/5
