A nice Italian restaurant serving a mixture of pizza, pasta and sea food. The place has lots of seating and the decor is fairly standard. The staff were super attentive and helpful with menu choices. The food was tasty and the portions were quite big, though some of the dishes are fairly expensive. Overall a decent experience, would recommend a visit.
A decent Italian restaurant with a good menu. The food is pretty decent and tasty and definitely deserves a 4 star but the service is poor and needs a lot of improvement. We were seated, but had to wait for more than 10 minutes to order a drink. The restaurant was empty but still no one paid attention. For this poor service they charge a 10% discretionary service charge. I am ready to pay such charges provided they treat customers with care. Bear this in mind when you reserve a seat.
We enjoyed the food here. Service is typical brisk, no-nonsense which I’m fine with. We actually prefer this than to have, as some restaurants do, folks checking on us interrupting our dinner every now and then. The crowd starts to pile in around 7pm. There is a 10% service charge similar to the country I came from so again this is fine for me.
Great food and service. One of the best if not the best carbonara in the UK. just a shame the pasta portion size is not in proportion with the pizza size but for the taste I wool not take away a star..non alcoholic cocktails are nice too. 2nd visit, will come back again.
Pepenero restaurant is my favourite pizza&pasta place in this area ! 100% We came here often, and I highly recommend to try salmon or seafood tagliatelle or other pasta dishes. All pizzas from the menu are amazing + ask for some fresh chilli oil.
Not a fancy restaurant but food quality is ok. We had a couple of daily proposals which were both not authentic Italian but still tasty. A burrata served with pesto instead of some EVO why!?! and an arancino "with" ragù without meat, just a spicy tomato sauce. We also ordered a "focaccia", the pizza dough was great, and a beef carpaccio which was ok-ish. Owners did not speak Italian but overall it is still an acceptable Italian restaurant if you are looking for something in this area.
Amazing experience as usual. My friend and i don’t eat out often, but when we do pepenero is always 1st choice. Brilliant silver service, lovely demeanour from all staff and friendly conversation. Very grateful :
Excellent food and service, I recommend the Bruschetta San Danielle - fresh ingredients and generous portion! Service is always very pleasant here
I really liked this place. Lovely and relaxed. Lots of different people from those in jeans and T-shirt popping in for a pizza to couples dressed up smartly and parties celebrating. We all however had one thing in common we were all enjoying the lovely food, delicious. I was in London on business and ate there, it was so good I went back the next day
Food was wonderful and the staff was extremely helpful in recommending different Italian items from the menu. I ordered the steak fillet, to be honest I would stick with the pasta dishes, I've tasted steaks better than this, it was a little dry for my taste but the sauce that came with it sort of compensated it. My partner ordered a Carbonara, it look so good and it was tasty. The potion of the pasta is a lot but manageable to eat, although it is quite filling. Full of taste and definitely worth getting. The restaurant has a wonderful, inviting atmosphere, the staff are also welcoming would definitely recommend.
