I generally love garden centres however this place is something else. The service is wonderful. The people on the tills are lovely. 2 young ladies served us on Sunday and they were great. It's Christmas

OMG best garden centre I’ve visited in Yorkshire!! Myself and my partner bought ourselves a lovely indoor yucca plant and terrarium, and it was awesome to see the store stocked for both Halloween and Christmas. Staff and guests were lovely. Didn’t have time to visit the cafe unfortunately but will definitely visit some point soon

Love the arts and crafts department, and the very helpful and knowledgable staff . It's the only place in the area selling a good selection of art and sewing products which makes me a regular customer. I was also tempted to buy a few  winter pansies! Overall a good shopping experience.

Truly fantastic as always super stocked ready for Christmas  And cafe is fantastic best scone we have ever had out in any cafe ever 10/10 fully recommended treat yourselves to a visit

Otley again yes was there with the second half, got to visit the garden centre she said great place indoors and outside canteen area to relax nicely laid out all round.

Went to buy some garden bulbs,have a general root about, coffee and a biscuit. Did all of those things. It's a lovely place. Very sad, however,to learn that the branch of Edinburgh woollen mills is closing,and just before Christmas to boot. Part of some grand improvement plans I'm sure. Will miss the place, went 3or4 times a year,had good spend for quality items. So, good and not so good. Sorry for the staff losing their jobs just before Christmas. Not to end on a bad note,staff are all lovely. Cafe good as ever.

Pleasant decent sized garden centre. Good sized car park but on an incline, don't forget to apply your hand brake. Apparently someone not me forgot on one occasion and rolled into other cars. Cafe always busy but worth a wait.

No longer Stephen Smiths as has been taken over by owners of Tong garden centre. It's now having a major revamp with some areas closed off, some being restocked and a lot of empty space. Relaunch day sometime this month. Quite alot of nice outdoor plants arriving but a bit pricey compared to Smiths. Will look forward to seeing it when completed though.

This is meant to be owned by Tong Garden Centre - just been to the cafe and it was worst I’ve ever been to and a disgrace. Dirty and tables and floor dirty not cleaned. Extortionately overpriced and poor quality and presentation of food! Won’t be coming again - Tong you ought to be ashamed of this effort. If could give no stars I would have!

Clearly not a good time of year.  Stock disappointing.  Friendly staff but slow service..  Food was limited and very slow.  They tried to turn away my service dog who has a clear label showing her status.  Nevertheless we spent over £200 .
