Yesterday, I accidentally got put on the wrong train i was meant to go Liverpool and ended up here at Penrith (first time for everything) I explained my situation to the lady at the desk, who did everything she could to help me and ended up giving me a free ticket back to Preston. I didn't realise up until I was getting on the train that she also put me up to first class to, I never got to thank her fully as I wasn't aware so I am very thankful for that. I also want to thank all the staff (there was a male and another female) they again made me feel so welcome and we made light of the fact I'd travelled nearly 2 hours in the wrong direction 🤦‍♀️so again thank you for all your help!!! (I got to Liverpool in the end after 6 hours travelling all together) Haha!!

Really cute train station. The waiting room had a heater in it, a book shelf full of books for people to read and a little table with colouring activities for children! Definitely thought about its passenger's comfort

Cannot efficiently organise extra transport when trains are cancelled. A taxi came for the remaining people who couldn't fit on the bus and a member of staff stopped all male passengers getting on at all

Shambles when trains are cancelled couldnt provide enough transport for all the people without a train we'd already paid for the staff come across sexist by allowing all the females on a taxi with no males at all on it and prioritise any one above any school children ushering them to one side before putting them on alternative transport before anyone else, even though school children pay the same amount as everyone else.
