Perfectly peaceful, elegant rooms and kitchen creations which are delectable. Friendly but not suffocating staff. Not stuffy but suits a more discernable crowd. Stayed for a two night stay and have had no issues. Tasty breakfast. This place is on my 'to return' list.

Beautiful! Lovely welcome, rooms were cosy and almost contemporary bathrooms. The food was delicious if a little awkward, I think the fabulous chef is shy of using potato. I had a dish served with two types of beetroot and felt it needed just some boiled potato or sauté just to make it a meal. BUT on the second night the guinea fowl was amazing. This is definitely a place for couples or intimate groups. Beautiful gardens and great location. We will be back for this Welsh beauty.

My wife and I went for a luxury afternoon tea to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We have visited many venues for these so have a fair idea what to expect. The location here is beautiful, the hall is very stately, but that is pretty much where the good points end. The lady who met us was quite unprofessional and, to be honest, quite rude. The lady who served us was much better. This was a luxury afternoon tea, and when it arrived we were both somewhat underwhelmed. The sandwiches were ok, the scones were nice and fresh, but the cakes were awful. It was as though someone had nipped to the corner shop and bought the cheapest they had. Sorry, not good enough. The Tea didn't match up to the surroundings.
