Just in the right place to have a lunch break from walking along the Upper and Lower Don Trail.nSome interesting historical elements as you walk towards the station platforms too as Penistone used to be a thriving industrial railway hub.
A lovely little station on the Trans Pennine Trail, well worth a stop to see the village and the old platforms.nEven though it's a small station it had r an actual shelter and is only a 5 minute walk from the pub
Beautiful Station Building, sad to see the disused platforms of the former Great Central Railway at the back of the station slowly being taken back by Mother Nature
Compact and bijoux. The train station is badly signposted.
Small local station but very clean and looks like it only has a ticket machine and not peple to help but that could have been because of the bank holiday
