Order through their app weekly, tonight I waited 2hrs for the food to arrive stone cold and horrible. Had problems waiting a long time the last couple of times I’ve ordered which hasn’t really been an issue, but really not impressed with ice cold food after waiting 2hrs. I won’t be using them again. It’s a shame as was one of the best in the area but gone downhill recently, maybe taking too many orders on or cutting back on staff, but I won’t be using them again.
This place used to be brilliant but has really gone down hill over the last few months. Our last order failed to show up at all and ended up being refunded. We gave it another go tonight and it was just as bad. We were given an hours wait. Called after an hour and was told it was minutes away. It arrived another 35minutes later!! Awful, awful service. Either our food was riding around for 35mins or the information on the previous call was a lie. Either way we are done and will not be returning. I think the problem is they are taking too many orders on and just can’t deliver. Shame.
Used to love it, great value and quality fish, but this last month the prices have increased by around 50% - and less choice, I think it might be different owners, I was a regular but will find somewhere else now.
Haven’t got a problem with prices going up with the way things are at the minute, But when you have to watch your food get wrapped up to make sure your order is right and that items aren’t missing is a joke come on guys you’ve got to do better. To top it off a few rude members of staff, place is going down hill?!!
I’ve used this chippy for donkeys years and the foods was always lovely…. Since it’s been taken over it’s gone down hill …. All you can taste is vile cooking oil…. Chips are horrible, our last few orders have been disappointing, so sorry to say this but I won’t be returning !!!…
Good food as usual only issue is when we order between 5.30 till 6 it arrived at 5 ,the last twice it arrived earlier than ordered , I was arrived from work at 530 and had to microwave them to warm up , please keep to the times requested and it will be perfect
Well love the food here it's great but just found out they have stopped doing Southern fried chicken so looks like I'll be finding a new chippy which is why 2 starsFood: 4/5
Used to be ok ordering through the app but today the prices have gone through the roof £8 for a cod thats without delivery and chips, mixed meat in a naan £8.30 ? i know things have gone up but other chip shops are more competitive on price, sorry pelsall thats me done i will delete the app.
Ordered via just eat this evening 2 mini cod and chips with mushy peas 2 chicken breast Total £26.50 The price didn't bother me, it was the food that was delivered. It wasn't cod, it wasn't chicken breast chicken legs called the restaurant and was put on to the owner, his response " well don't order from us again " and he hung up. Disgusting food, Rude, bad mannered Proprietor.!!!
Ordered through just eat and WOW!!!!!! The best fish and chips I've had in years! Love the food coming in a box, stops it getting cold, mushy and greasy but more then that, portion size was great and the chips fluffy as can be! There are some great chippies in Birmingham but, for Walsall where I now live.... Utterly the BEST chippy and it now has a new loyal customer!
