Been awhile since we'd been here. Portions have shrunk considerably and the food was slightly warm. Voting with my feet and going elsewhere in the future. At the rate they're going they won't be in business much longer.
Went here by mistake. Bit steep for a portion of chips but you what they were pretty amazing. Defo best battered chips I ever had. Can't comment on anything else because that's all I had. Chilli sauce was decent too
Large fish and chips, Mushy peas and gravy for £9 absolute bargain, arrived piping hot and was really enjoyable. Definitely recommend worth trying.
Absolutely shocking after new management had taken over recently mid 2021. Prices have gone up and portions have gone smaller. Ripping off long term customers. The new management just don't care. I paid for a large bag of chips i asked for and the actual portion size was smaller that a medium, yet on their board a large is. Now they want you to pay 10p for each squirt of sauce. What a joke. I've been going here for years and paid one fixed price until now. I cant see these being open for much longer. There are better places out there that value their customers. The food is nice but you don't get what you pay for. Old management was better.

Battered chips are the main draw here. Quick service, reasonable prices and polite staff Wheelchair accessibility: There are two huge steps to enter the shop, as it is much higher than pavement level. I suspect they would still serve someone in a wheelchair who couldn't enter the shop itself.
Since new owners sadly gone downhill the old owners were the best use to do the best battered chips really orange in Walsall. Butts Fishbar been around for decades sad to see its current state hope things can change again in the future and get back to its glory days again.
Since new owners have taken over it has gone downhill. Waited well over an hour for delivery when I phoned and said if I have to wait much longer I will be refusing at the door to which the answer was "its up to you" When arrived food was cold and had to be microwaved. Won't be using them again!!
Nice variety of fast food, just not so giving on portions, but still tastes better than alot of places. And their battered chips are simple best!
Excellent service and very well cooked food. They do golden chips which, if you've never had before, you're in for a treat! Delicious! The batter is excellent across the range too! This rates in my top 5 Fish'n'Chip shops in England - highly recommended.
