Hastings is a town on England’s southeast coast. It's known for the 1066 Battle of Hastings, fought on a nearby field where Battle Abbey now stands. The Norman ruins of Hastings Castle, once home to William the Conqueror, overlook the English Channel. East along the shingle seafront of Stade beach, Hastings Fishermen’s Museum and Shipwreck Museum document maritime history. The Jerwood Gallery shows contemporary art.
Good car park next to the beach. Has public toilets
Nice big car park. Quite expensive. Central to all amenities and toilets on site.
My favourite place to park when I'm in Hastings! Ample spaces, but sad to see that its not just £1 to park after 6pm this year & that per hour has gone up also by 20p, but I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather eat fish & chips or an ice cream whilst gazing at this amazing coast, its absolutely breathtaking!
It was great cause if you have a disabled badge you can park for free for 3hours
The MOTORCYCLE PARKING is not FREE any more and there is no warning as to the change of policy on entering the car park. Many motorcyclists have been parking here for years in the knowledge that it has been free. While I don't have a problem paying for MC parking, not informing motorcyclists of the policy change on entry amounts to setting people up for a fine. In the picture below, I managed to capture 4 parking tickets on different vehicles the 4th is a little unclear, all next to each other. It was also the case that two more MCs had just left, literally a minute, before the picture was taken! ...amounting to 6 parking tickets in a row. It is obvious that there needs to be a sign at the entrance. No one would knowingly receive a parking ticket when they could of have just paid £1.80!
Car park gets very busy and you might find yourself driving around for a bit when looking for a space at peak times. Slightly expensive, but ideal location for the beach, shops and amusements.
Great car park right on the beach. Bet it's busy in the summer, car park was full by early afternoon on New year's Day!
Well designed car park. It’s quite busy during weekend. You might want to come earlier to get a space.
Love Hastings and love all the quirky businesses making a go of it in the arches here, they need supporting. We had the best doughnuts and coffee at the weekend from one of the little shops and it was cheap as chips.
