Horrible. Absolutely horrible. Me and my family came here to kill a few hours and have a little bit of fun, but as we were checking in and getting a locker, they said: “ sorry, we only take old pound coins and trolley tokens.” So we got changed and jumped in, then the lifeguard said we couldn’t splash too much. There was also no floats/toys in the pool, so we had to improvise. After about 45 minutes in the pool, we got changed and headed back to the car and one of the staff members followed us out and asked if we had took a boys Apple Watch, we all say we haven’t and my brother heads off home, but then the staff member with the big lashes takes a photo of his reg plate. My dad steps out and asks her to delete it, but by then she’d already sent it to the rest of the staff. My dad then calls my brother to come back just to prove he hasn’t got it. Waste of money and time, do not come here.
Really rude, unhelpful staff. Especially eyelashes. The lockers only accept old pound coins what?!?!? or the tokens you use in trolleys. They don't have any old pound coins to lend you and charge £2 for a trolley token. We were overcharged for the swimming and then they tried to overcharge for the gym. One of my sons was ill and they did refund his swimming to be fair. A young lad lost his apple watch and eyelashes came out to my sons in the car park and asked if they'd taken it, which they hadn't. Then she had the cheek to take a photo of my son's car "just in case". When I saw YMCA associated with the pool I was more than happy to give them my money but the service we received was appalling
On holiday with our 6 boys. Took them swimming. Managed to eventually get past the extremely unhelpful patronising staff on the front desk. They had a mediocre swim and gym session, despite not being able to use anything in the pool to break up the monotony of up and down swimming. On collection of the boys there was some commotion as the staff and a member of the public were accusing them of stealing- with absolutely no proof I hasten to add! The only thing they had to go on was the fact they were young lads and therefore must of been thieves. It was later decided by the staff that actually our lads had nothing to do with it …. Never ever will we return to this awfully run establishment. I suggest you be careful what you accuse innocent people of doing in future
Great amenities. Our son is currently attending swimming lessons here, as well as the pool facility there is a gym, tennis courts and other fitness activities available.
Nice clean and calm pool
Great gym, classes pool. Helpful staff
Small gym but everything you need, polite staff and clean.
It's a really nice gym. Good, friendly, approachable staff, nice atmosphere, very few meat head show-offs but the odd weight dropper and hat wearer. Good quality and range of equipment, loads of classes, but the showers need improving, big time.
Good facilities and helpful staff.
The gym itself is fine and generally the staff are very helpful. BUT PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE, turn the awful background music down. I accept that some people may like it but it shouldn't unduly impose on the music a lot of us want to hear on our own devices or indeed drown out the television/ radio many of us want to watch and listen to on the aerobic machines. Equally the instructors running the mini circuit training at the end of the gym surely don't need to holler out so the golfers can hear them on the ninth tee! They are, after all, only about 2 yards away from the people the are hollering at!
