Peak Health & Fitness is the place to be in west Devon. The Owners, John and his wife, are incredibly friendly and give their time to anyone and everyone. It’s got everything you could want in a gym including atmosphere. It doesn’t matter what age you are, 16 or 96, you have to try out this gym. You’ll have great fun, learn lots and make friends guaranteed in Peak Health & Fitness Tavistock. 100% recommend without a doubt.
Absolutely fantastic gym. Always super friendly, willing to help where possible. I have a PT session with Steve once a week. He helped me to train for a half marathon. Super gym

Excellent gym with amazing facilities and staff. I went in with little gym knowledge, so the team's help was crucial for my progress. I have since moved so unfortunately cannot use Peak anymore. It was by far the best gym I have been to. Don't even bother looking elsewhere.
My girlfriend and I were very keen on joining this gym as it is just down the road from where we live. After going in and asking for their pay as you go £5 session I would never go to this gym again. The gym was very quiet and staff were available to speak with us, I work in the fitness industry myself and I am a qualified gym instructor I completely understand that an induction is necessary however when the owner very rudely says we can’t use the gym and he couldnt carry out an induction with no reason why followed by rudely telling us to go and use another gym, I am absolutely appalled by this behavior and the way this man spoke to myself and my girlfriend. Before I get a response asking if I have the right gym I do mean the Peak fitness in Tavistock.... shocking
I've never been the most confident person in the gym before, but going to peak has really helped me. Myself and my partner are always made welcome especially by the owner whose always up for a laugh and his partner even played my favourite song on the speakers.... Couldn't be more happier in a gym :
This evening myself and my partner planned on trialling peaks facilities and potentially discussing membership, both of us work within the fitness industry and were really keen to see whether peak would be worth it. We looked at their website and saw they offer a pay as you go session which would be perfect for us, when we arrived we were approached by a gentleman i believe is the owner, we were told that we couldn’t use the facilities without an induction which of course we both understand and would be happy to do, however the very rude gentleman just told us we couldn’t have an induction and told us to go away and use body zone. I am absolutely disgusted by this behaviour and i think this man should really think about how he speaks to people because that behaviour is not an acceptable way to speak to members of the public. I would warn anyone away from this gym if they don’t want to be spoken to like a piece of dirt by this man!
Very expensive. Poor range of equipment. The gym was obviously set up by a business pertain and not a gym user. The heir-apparent manager who showed me around was arrogant and dismissive of female needs in a gym and didn't know the difference between a make Olympic bar and a female one. It's the only gym near me and I've chosen to go without because it Peak was that bad.
