Never felt so unwelcome on a site in 40 years of caravaning,nnon arrival was told to pitch on a seasonal pitch because the touring pitches were flooded, total lie all the pitches were taken up with seasonal caravans which isn't a problem but why lie? We were There for 3 nights and we had to ask every day for the main toilet and shower block to be unlocked so we could have a shower.nnToilets and shower block is run down and no way worth £40+electric a night.nnThe site is only interested in seasonal caravans ence the unwelcome feeling shame really because this site is ideally situated for Ashbourne.nnWill definitely not be returning
Absolutely fabulous place to relax for a weekend away
Went here for a rally last weekend with loads of friends and had a marvellous time.nnSite is nice and clean, staff are extremely friendly and helpful.nSmashing camping shop too with all kinds of great pieces of kit.nnShowers were lovely and hot and big too,lots of space.nnCouldn't have asked for more.
Had a wonderful time at Operation Ashbourne held in the Peak Gateway Leisure. The caravan park is well equipped, children's play area, shop and bar, well worth a visit. It is convenient for touring the beautiful Peak District.
We didn't use the facility's but we went there to attend the 40's weekendnOperation Ashbourne......nIt was brilliant, well organised apparently Saturday was a bit wet, but we went on the Sunday, there was loads to see, a Special appearance from one of the BBMF Spitfires and loads of Static displays. Plenty of living history displays and friendly people to talk to abt their displays.nDefinitely well worth a visit, the stage area was also great with Singers and Dancer's Hog Roast Baps at £7.00 but what a taste and while you pay more at these shows than maybe you would normally, they were stuffed out with stuffing and Pork..nWe will return next year..nWell done Operation Ashbourne for bring History to the Public, something we should never forget.
