My first time dining here on a Sunday and I wasn't disappointed with anything. The service was excellent, a wait of only 10 minutes for the food to come out. Our table, in my view was the best in the restaurant, close to the log burner, great on a cold day! The Roast beef with all the trimmings was delicious and plentiful - my only dislike was the pickled red cabbage. Side orders of cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets were good size portions - more than enough for two people. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was heavenly and a fairly good portion for sharing. I would definitely recommend eating here.. ^o^
Lovely setting, good kids meals, quick service. Unfortunately the play area has been removed and my pie was a bit dry - but still a lovely venue hence 4 stars.
Lovely decor inside. Friendly & helpful staff. I had a veggie Sunday roast which wasn't great as it was dry and, apart from the vegetables, didn't taste fresh. Others in my group had fish & chips & a burger which they said was good.
The place is lovely, and the staff were lovely and polite. However, to my own experience, I find the food is not worth the price we paid, quality, taste, and freshness. Overall, I would come again but only for a drink and to chill.
A very nicely decorated eatery with adequate space between the tables. The food was good, without being great. The lager battered fish was perhaps a little underdone. The Badger Best Bitter was nice.
Super nice setting either inside or out. Food always yummy. Had sunday roast dinner this time which was a great portion size!
One of the best pubs around Berkshire, loved the ambience, very spacious inside out & ample parking. Will visit again. Although, more food choices veg/vegan will help cater all types of customers. Food Prices are really expensive however quality is very good. Sat Nav takes you to other side however you need to come back to previous roundabout and turn left to find the pub.
Really lovely pub, it’s been done out great and is a nice place to spend an afternoon. Food was nice and service was good, very friendly, a little slow towards the end but understandable with the restaurant suddenly filling up.
Authentic pub atmosphere with great service and delicious traditional dining. Whether inside or out, it's a wonderful experience. Had the whitebait, Korean style squid tacos, confit duck. The fish and chips is higly recommended too.
Great food and amazing service, severed by a wonderful and pleasant server called Lewis B..! suggested the fish and chipsmore like a whale!! it was tasty , on time and enjoyable, his attention to detail and the offer of additional options on the menu made the whole dinning experience worth while, we will be visiting again and this chap needs to be a manager or promoted..Well done Lewis b you made our day..
