Absolutely fantastic staff, so welcoming and understanding. we unfortunately had to let one of our beloved dogs pass and they treated him with such love and respect he deserved after 16 years. The staff were so understanding and never rushed us at all. It's always hard loosing a loved pet, but they completely understood what we were going through. They offer such a great out of hours service, I wouldn't hesitate using them at all again.
My dog passed away Thursday They were good on seeing her at 2am but because she wasn't registered they asked loads of questions which I can't help thinking if they didn't she could have been seen and saved. The questions could have been asked when I was there.
Rang up regarding my cat at about 11pm. Got me booked in immediately and told me to head over. Every single member of staff were lovely and clearly care about the animals so much. Did a great job of settling my nerves and were really informative. Thank you to everyone at PDSA from me and Gizmo
I cannot speak highly enough of the staff here at the Derby centre. They took excellent care of my girl dog, and tried to vet to the bottom of what was wrong with her. They gave brilliant advice and really took the time to explain next steps to me. They dud everything possible to make her comfortable whilst she was there and I couldn't have asked for more.
As much as I would like to give them a good review, & I know they do there best to help pet owners, unfortunately I can't do that, as my pet needed to be seen by a vet, & they decided that I could treat him at home, I did get in to see a nurse, a week later, which he clean he wound & told me to carry on doing as I had been doing
Absolutely amazing vet's. The staff here are all so great and lovely. Every vet has been so helpful and amazing with all of our dogs, and the reception staff are amazing with us. Always so helpful. You know they are always giving their all, when you're asking for help or information. Sadly one of our dogs passed away last year but everyone here was unbelievably so loving and understanding and really helped. It was the only vet's he didn't get scared of, that says a lot about them from my dogs point of view. Thank you, everybody, at PDSA.
Waiting time information! Amazing service, but sadly very understaffed. I brought my little jackchi in for emergency dental surgery under general anaesthetic, and we were treated really well. Unfortunately there was quite a lack of communication due to lack of staff. We brought her in at 9am, and still hadn't heard how her surgery went by 5pm. I tried calling but the phone line just disconnected. I was beside myself with worry. I sent an email a little after 5pm, which thankfully they responded to to let me know she was in recovery and doing fine, and a vet would call me shortly. A vet called at 7pm to give me the details of her surgery and recovery. She was still on a drip, but we could collect her at 8. Everything was explained really well. We went to collect her at 8pm and everything went smoothly. I'd like to reassure pet owners that it's normal to not hear from the vets for a considerable amount of time if their animals are having surgery, and that it doesn't mean anything bad has happened. Its so sad that this place is struggling so much due to lack of staff. They're only able to see emergency cases right now which is understandable, however I really feel reception could send off short text messages or emails when pets are out of surgery to set their owners minds at ease.
Very caring staff, and they gave great advice once we got to see them, and we have a treatment plan moving forward. It's a nightmare having to book everything online and not being able to phone and talk to someone. I had to do this process for an older family member, and I found it difficult. It's so frustrating that we were at the vets and needed another appointment but couldn't book one in person, we had to leave and go online and am now waiting for another call back to book one, takes so long to get to see the vet.
Took my beautiful Izzy in today I have only had here 3 week I have never known such wonderful staff on reception and the lovely vet named Paige was brilliant the pdsa have made my life so much better I can not thank you enough x
Our cat recently had to have an emergency stay at PDSA due to chewing part of a lily. The hospital were amazing with simba and got us in within the same 30 minutes and we were seen straight away. Thank you PDSA. Couldn’t recommend enough
