Great garden centre. Good choice and well maintained plants. Had a pet store and aquarium too. Wide range of stock and staff are pleasant too.
Had a great time here with my daughter so much to do. We went to the soft play. Then had lunch, we also popped around the sections exploring the kids books and beautiful water features.
Often pop in for a coffee and a bite to eat. Then a wander round the centre. Food good particularly breakfast and lunch menus. Gets very busy though so choose your time. Great garden centre with knowledgeable helpful staff and pretty much anything you need available.
It's a lovely garden centre. Has many many great quality plants, flowers, shrubs and anything your garden needs. Definitely recommend to visit if you haven't been there. Prices can be on a high side, but you know what you get. Cafe is always busy, so it won't I'll just be just pop for a quick coffee.
Stock levels are a bit low but plants always very good quality. House plant selection is amazing. Restaurant is poor and expensive now, shame, it used to be good quality and value. £10 for a sandwich is ridiculous.
Good place and friendly staff. Just abit strange how all staff are woman. And only noticed 1 male and got him lifting all heavy stuff on his own. Shop regularly so see it with my own eyes.
Very disappointed,. No food available except a selection of cakes and tea or coffee. Had to wait in a queue of 10 people or more for 15 minutes just for tea and a scone. Service is dreadful. I'd hate to see what the queue might be like when they serve hot food, probably half an hour or more. The reason for this was.." No hot water to wash out hands" Tea water was hot, fill a bowl for God's Sake. Poor excuse.
Dobbies is Dobbies is Dobbies. It's a garden centre plus. The plants are healthy, standard prices for these days. The restaurant is usually busy. Food is of a reasonable standard and value for money. The fish was good, batter crispy, chips cold. I think they were served on cold plates, which doesn't help. Generally, the whole shop is acceptable but not as good as it used to be. Times have changed due to many factors, and we have to assume that's acceptable. Or do we, please make it better, then I will return more often.
Restaurant is a health hazard! I ordered a fish finger baguette as it was past 11.30 as we had spent some considerable waiting in the queue and the breakfast menu had finished in that time. When the fish finger sandwich came it was totally cold. I took it back and spoke to the manager. He didn't apologise but just said we will send another one. Second one arrived minutely warmer in places but still basically cold. We then took it back and my husband spoke to the same manager. He never even apologised and was quite intimidating, rude and held us in complete contempt. We could have put it down to a mistake if the second one came out hot, but we think IMMEDIATE staff training is in order on how to heat food in order to ensure you don't make anyone ill and also a reminder that in this climate customer service is even more important especially as eating out especially at Dobbie's is a tad expensive and treating your customers with utter contempt does not make someone want to return. What a shame as we came to have a lovely afternoon and treat ourselves to some nice plants.
amazing place to get houseplants and amazing soils for different plants, the pots and even growlights!! at good prices and despite other customers moaning about the 1 queue when 2 tills were open the staff were calm and were actually really happy to serve
