Some waiting time to put thr to receptionist. However, the lady was efficient and kind. Booked an appointment for my child and she remarked that polio vaccinations are usually given at schools. Heard that before, but informed otherwise by my child's school. A very pleasant voice. Could stay on the line the whole day :
I am shocked how this surgery has treated my young children. I have been here 1 year. Last year my daughter was 4 and was constantly having ear infection every few months. They prescribed antibiotics over the phone without seeing her. Then ear infection came back, I insisted to be referred to ear/nose and throat. They finally decided it was appropriate to see her and found something small stuck in her ear. This is why face to face appointments are important for children. Recently my other twin girl 5, has had a persistent cough for almost 4 weeks. Receptionist would only give phone appointment. Doctor prescribed her antibiotics over the phone and absolutely REFUSED to see her even with me pushing. I asked her to see my child and check her and then prescribe antibiotics. She said call reception for face to face but they said doctor has to say come in. They send you round in circle! She then tried to blame me for refusing to give her medicine for 4 weeks when I have been giving her all the over the counter medicine as advised by Nhs. Nhs say only after few weeks of persistent cough you should see doctor. This surgery does not practice appropriately or follow guidelines with children. This is neglect and should not be prescribing antibiotics to young children without checking them first. You also can never get an urgent appointment after 9am even for kids.
I attended the surgery and the GP asked me to book an appointment at reception for a blood test. I was told I would have to wait two weeks for the blood test and was given a date... As was accustomed I waited patiently for further information or confirmation by post or text. Nothing came... Concerned after two weeks, I rang the surgery to explain that one of the staff had made an appointment for a blood test.. it is now past the due date but I did not receive information of a time or venue of where to attend for the test. The very angry receptionist responded that I did not attend the appointment. I asked, how could I attend an appointment without a given venue or date. She insisted that the information was given to me at the surgery... I was told the time and venue on the day she the appointment was book she argued. She was rude and attempted on several occasions that Information was given to me. When I asked, why there was no follow up information sent by email or post. The response was we no longer send out follow up messages for blood test... Seriously, I have received a few over the past few weeks, but not the one I needed. Why not for blood test????? Maybe a notice in the surgery stating clearly that time and venues for appointments will no longer be sent to patients by text or letter would help patients to know what your practices are.
I don’t even want to give them one star review. My 4 years old son had high temperature up to 39 degrees. My wife called them at 8 in the morning. However she said there is no appointment face to face with the doctor. She gave us a virtual appointment, my wife tried explain to me about the situation. But the receptionist said that there is no need to discuss and hung up without giving a time to discuss and decide if we are able to attend the virtual meeting I am very astounded, disappointed by the service from my local GP.
Very rude new reception staff.... the receptionists are unbelievably unhelpful and very arrogant. Don't know the meaning of politeness. The reception staff need to go on a course to increase their communication skills. There was a time when the reception staff was helpful but now all changed unfortunately. Doctors are not bad, specially Dr. Mehta is very kind and polite.
This place is so frustrating. As someone who orders antidepressants through this surgery, they aren't exactly making me less depressed. Every time I try to make an appointment or order a prescription I have to jump through hoops or they forget to send the pharmacy my prescription etc etc. The actual doctors however are very good from my experience. It's just so badly run and has been for years now
I just witnessed one of the worst doctors treat my wife with so much disrespect and zero care! Doctor Damani is one of the worst professionals I have ever come across. No responsibility towards the patient and just kept stating 'what you want me to do about it' and attitude stinks. If you want to come here to get annoyed and triggered - this is your place. He suggested to go for a high risk procedure for her even though we told him that we are planning for a family. What kind of advice is this? Out of his depth and dodging responsibility. Will not be coming back.
I had been at this surgery for years. Until recently when I rang up to urgently ask for medication for my epilepsy and depression. The rude new reception staff. Decided to be very rude with me until I blew my stack. Then I was removed from they're list for being rude to the receptionist. Thankyou for your care Monica Simpson
Please change GP’s if you can! The reception staff are horrific! I was on hold for 40 minutes for an emergency appointment for my 12 year old son, and got cut off and sent a text me message saying the callback service failed - I didn’t ask for a callback service? That’s why I was sat on hold for 40 minutes! Another 25 minutes on hold, the same the happened again… finally after 1 hour and 25 minutes I got through… to be told no appointments, and call 111??? No explanation as to why I continually got cut off - no help or thoughtfulness from that staff member - just palmed off to the hospital, my son needs antibiotics for an obvious chest infection, I explained this and got ‘call back tomorrow’. AVOID if not for you sake, for your kids!
I am new patient..and so far I am well impressed, receptionist always nice, easy to book appointment including phone call with doctor... thank you
