A Gorgeous place, lovely wooded glades, a park for the kids, cafe and fantastic views if you walk up to the needle memorial just a short uphill walk through the pine woods. There is even a small memorial of trees planted In remembrance. Well worth a Sunday afternoon.

Good walk. 90% is a tarmac path, great open areas to let dogs off. Cafe is good but not always open. There is a Park which has a good range for younger to older children.

Great open spaces. Abundant wildlife. Sadly soon to be convered over for houses and industrial units we don't require. Already takes over 1 hour to drive to Manchester centre during rush hour
