Just went there to buy Xmas cards. The young woman with short blond hair who served me didn't say hello, thank you or goodbye... unbelievable! I also own a shop and wouldn't dream of treating my customers like that!

Dreadful customer service, the worst I have ever encountered. The lady serving is beyond the most rude person I have encountered in retail. Dreadfully rude to my children who were looking at the birthdays of TY teddies, telling my son on to put them in the dirty floor. I politely told her he wasn’t but had accidentally knocked one off and immediately put it back on the shelf. Never will we return and will find a better independent card retailer - my advice DO NOT VISIT THIS SHOP - retail skills and customer service are not understood or evidenced in this store at all.

Unfortunately I am echoing the other negative reviews here. The shop owner is always incredibly rude to children, adolescents, and young adults. Although the store has a good selection of cards, I am put off buying anything or even entering the store as I fear I will be talked down to and made to feel unwelcome. It’s a real shame as other members of staff have been lovely when I have been in on other occasions. This woman is really letting down her team and the business in general by discouraging sales from younger people, who she arbitrarily takes a disliking to. Some customer service training is definitely required.

Im sorry to say that when the lady with short grey hair and glasses is serving in the shop I walk out.she is really rude and unhelpful following customers round the shop telling them not to touch  the cards unless their going to buy them.  Telling children to leave the shop even though they want to purchase a card. To the shop owner please give her some training on customer service and selling skills because this is a great shop with a good range of cards and gifts but you're loosing profit because she's sending customers away. Not good for business I'm afraid.

On numerous occasions I have found the lady who works there to be very rude regarding children in the shop? She clearly has a dislike to children, even on one occasion telling the children to move away from the cash register as she inflated a balloon we were purchasing with helium, they only wanted to see?... She needs to realise that Southwell in a small town, with lots of families, and parents are going to enter "her" shop with children, we shouldn't be made to feel unwelcome!

I echo the other negative review. Unfortunately the owner of the shop is very unwelcoming if you are accompanied by children. On a number of occasions I have witnessed children being told off by her without reason. I would therefore recommend purchasing your cards from another shop if you would prefer friendly customer service.

I am always sourcing fab little gifts for birthdays. They have a lovely collection of jewellery at low prices and an extensive Yankee candle range.

Reasonablely priced cards, good selection. Helium balloons too
