One of the most delicious meals I've ever had, no exaggeration. Food definitely errs on the spicy side but this is a Subconti restaurant so what did you expect? Presentation is exceptional.
Nice restaurant, food is tasty and well made. Curries are yummy. All cooked very well. Portions could be bigger but theyre okay. Price is okay. Service is super friendly and good. The food can take a little long to come out.
Lovely local restaurant, truly a hidden gem. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious, will be back!
If you are looking for an authentic Nepalese food, look no further. Panas Gurkha is a family-run restaurant in Lewisham that is also heavily involved in a charity work. We especially liked their traditional dishes like Thimi vegetables and masu farci house special lamb and the Ghurka beer of course!
Went to the restaurant on 02/08 to celebrate daughter's 30th birthday. I have been there last year to celebrate wedding anniversary and was impressed with the quality of the food and service. There were 21 people in our party and the staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The total bill was very reasonable I had the PANAS GURKHA platter delicious as did a number of people in our party very generous portions I was upset to hear that due to the high cost of energy prices the manager may not be able keep going, let's support this business like it supported the NHS staff during the pandemic. Looking for a great place to eat out or celebrating PANAS GURKHA, Lewisham is definitely a worth visiting. Looking forward to eating there again . Thanks to all the staff and management.
Such a lovely place! Completely out of the way for me but I’m so glad to have visited. I didn’t know much about this place prior to my visit. I soon discovered they provided great community support and assistance during the height of the pandemic by supplying free meals to its local community and NHS frontline staff. They have a great community presence and reputation. As soon as you enter this small, local establishment you’ll be greeted warmly and welcomed like an old friend. Impeccable service without the fuss but lots of love instead! The food is fantastic. Amazing flavours, fresh ingredients and wonderfully presented food. The portions are incredibly generous, so much so I took more of my food home than I ate there, and I was hungry! The owner, Sujan was trained under Michelin star’s first Indian chef, Atul Kochhar. The passion and love of food is there from the moment you walk in and smell the aromas and have your first bite. If only it wasn’t so far from me!
The dishes we had were delicious and full of beautiful flavours and all the flavours went well together. Compliments to the chef. The service was great and the atmosphere too. Thank you!Food: 5/5
My son has just moved close by to the restaurant and when I visit him, the fabulous aroma is in the air when I get out of my car, making me crave an Indian meal. When we visited, it did not disappoint. Fabulous service and good food. Great presentation too. You must try the lime and coriander tikka and the Mothers curry. So delicious! Vegetarian options: There are a variety of vegetarian options.
Just visited the newly refurbished Panas restaurant and had an excellent, top quality rogan josh and a really lovely evening. The team at panas do themselves proud, great food and if you take some time to read about the work they’ve done in the community through the pandemic and the story of Sujan , the founder, it’s quite humbling. If you can go, enjoy and share.
The food here is excellent, amazing to have such flavours and be such a light curry. Even the chutneys with the poppadoms were great. The service was a little lacking, we waited a while to order despite the restaurant not being busy and the manner of service was quite functional rather than friendly or welcoming.
