Ordered fish and chips. The fish was battered and made after we ordered. Took about 5 minutes. They offered to put salt and vinegar on the meal. It was quite good and the serving size for a 2 piece meal was a good value. The fish was tender and flaky. It stayed in nice eatable chunks. The service was fast and efficient and the decor of the shop was nice and clean
First visit tonight since the takeover, and I was most impressed. I had the Fish supper and my Mum had the Scampi supper, both with Pickled onions - absolutely superb!! The staff were lovely, welcoming and happy to help you in any way - nothing was a bother. The quick service and quality of food was excellent - still very hot and crispy by the time we got to my Mum's house in Drymen, and was very tasty. Will definitely be back.
We've just ate dinner here, it was lovely! Nice fresh food, brilliant atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. They had issues with card payments in town but the staff were upfront and very apologetic about it, even though it wasn't their fault. Very reasonably priced too, so would definitely recommend.
The staff were very friendly, the chips were classic chip shop chips, perfectly cooked and a little soft which I like. They had a good range of options including two vegan options, I had the vegan nuggets. My partner enjoyed the mozzarella sticks. The portions were a good size. Vegetarian options: There were several veggie and vegan options. Dietary restrictions: They catered to halal, gluten free, veggie and vegan.
Stopped in for an early lunch with our 3 year old just as the rain came on after visiting Balloch Castle Park. Staff were excellent with us and the little one. Fast service, nice manner and good food. Portion sizes for kids and adults are good. Will be back next time we are in the area.
Best experience at a chip shop, our waitress was very friendly and couldn't do more to help us. Excellent vegan/vegetarian options which were beyond the normal cheese and onion options. First veggie battered sausage ever and it was brilliant. Highly recommend this place.Food: 5/5
First time in Blue Lagoon after almost 6 years in Scotland. Honestly it was a great dinner. The fish and chips was great, perfectly cooked and not greasy at all. And the portion size was big enough. Really was surprised cause I didn't expect to enjoy it so much.Food: 5/5
The food here is excellent, I live in Clydebank but will happily travel here to get my fish and chips, food is always fresh and the staff are really friendly. The young girl with dark hair and a lip piercing I think and Connor are really lovely and go out of their way to give excellent service. They also offer gluten free and halal options, which I think is amazing. Wheelchair accessibility: The shop is completely accessible for wheelchairs
Really good food, only complaint would be that the service was a bit slow considering it wasn't busy, only 3 other tables, it took the waitress about 10 mins after we had ,had chance to look at the menus for about 5 minutes and put them at the end of the table to signal we were ready to order, then when we did order it was about another 10 minutes waiting for our drinks and then about another 15 minutes for the food to arrive . As my wife said if the service had been quicker we would have had another round of drinks and possibly dessert. But we decided to pay and leave. Can't imagine what it's like when it's busy. But the food was lovely.
The food was OK. The wait and pricing however was ridiculous, 40 minutes and £20 for 3 suppers, this was on a dull Tuesday night so I'd hate to see it on a hot Saturday afternoon. In short there are other options locally which are faster and cheaper with the same quality of food. This place seems to be relying heavily on its proximity to Balloch Park, which is a shame for visitors.
