Asked for hamburger supper with cheese and curry sauce, was the worse 7quid ever spent. I've been to funeral's where folk were less cremated than the food. You pay £2.20 extra for cheese and curry sauce and hardly get any. Ended up in the bin.
If the food was as great as the staff it would be fantastic, sadly not. Chips tasted like they had been cooked ages before. Batter on the fish was very thick and a strange tadte, perhaps the oil needed changing, left with indigestion! Curry sauce very watery, yuk.
Had some great fish, chips and curry sauce here perfectly cooked very enjoyable...Food: 5/5
What can I say, outstanding,everything freshly cooked, the batter on the fish and haggis was light and crispy and the chips, wow. Best fish and chips we we've has in a very long time. Thank you.!
Shocking! The worst ever sausage supper this evening, if it wasent for the train appearing, I would have took it back, chips disgusting ,cold dry and also sausage, shame on yous !
One of the best chip shops in Scotland that I have tried, had there sausage supper and my partner had there fish supper. The batter is super crispy and full of flavor. Highly recommend
Sorry bout the terrible pictures but this was a rainy day. This place is opposite the train station at Balloch at the foot of loch Lomond. We always choose this place and we are never disappointed. There is a wide selection of items on the menu and prices are normal and not over inflated. Everything seems to be cooked just right. Check opening times if you are going out of your way to get there. You can usually get a parking space across the main road.
Best fish and chips I have had in years. All cooked to order and portions were more than adequate. Keep up the good work
Thoroughly enjoyed my burger and chips, followed by the famous deep fried mars-bar and ice cream. Would definitely go there again if I were ever in the area.
Solid little chippy. Friendly service, decent prices. Does all the usual stuff you'd expect in a Scottish chippy. No complaints!
