I visited the Palace Theatre to see the musical Karate Kid. Overall, my impression of both the performance and the theatre was very positive. However, I was genuinely surprised and disappointed to see many audience members bringing beer, popcorn, and other food into the auditorium. After the musical ended, a considerable amount of litter was left under the seats. In my opinion, this behavior shows a lack of respect both for the theatre staff, who are forced to clean up the mess, and for the actors performing on stage.nI hope that in the future more attention will be given to maintaining theatre etiquette and showing respect for this wonderful venue.
Watched the Riverdance 30th anniversary show. Amazing talents on show. Good views from the seats we were at quite far back in the circle area. The seats were certainly made for when people were smaller, hence not a huge amount of leg room. Great sound and lighting. Staff very helpful in directing us to where we needed to go.
Beautiful venue, and very accessible! Level access into the foyer, with either A few steps up or an access lift to take you up the few steps. Regular lifts up to the circles. The staff were super lovely and helpful and are happy to store any mobility aids during the show for you. Only bit of warning is that if you have long femurs your knees will either be in the person's back in front of you, or you will be spread eagle. This is, of course, the same with most historic theatres; especially if you are not seated in the stalls.
Had a great time at the Palace Theatre Manchester. Really good value as we picked up 2 tickets for this evenings performance of Tina. The story of the rise of Tina Turner. This stage performance was simply the best as the song goes. We had had a great night at this wonderful Theatre. Staff were really friendly and helpful as was the security. Upon our arrival we went into the stage door lounge for a coffee which was very reasonably priced at £3. Found this bar to be very comfortable and relaxing so would definitely recommend it. As you entre there was a merchandise stall selling Tshirts, fridge magnets, baseball caps, Hoddies,programs and keyrings. There was also a bar and refreshments to be had on each floor. Had a great view of the stage even though we were seated in the Grand Tier, seating was a bit restrictive as there wasn't much leg room for us taller people, but we seemed to cope through the whole of the show. Tina is a wonderful show with amazing performances from the actors and actresses by the end everyone was stood up and singing. All in all we paid £33 for two tickets which was really good value for a amazing nite at a great theatre with a fantastic performance. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and there is still availability for forth coming shows.
A triumphant first night - Annie and the young girls sparkled from start to finish. A fabulous performance heart warming, full of charm.nLa Voix was a show stealer, for me as miss Hannigan, wickedly funny vocally superb impossible to take your eyes off! Standing ovation so we'll deserved. Highly recommended enjoy
