Great place for a gig, not too big that it's overcrowded. Real festival vibe to the place. Will defo go back!
Llangollen Pavilion — a great cultural venue, but suffers in the heat.nnI attended the James concert at the Llangollen Pavilion as part of their summer music festival schedule. Prepaid parking was smooth and efficient, with a short walk to the venue though the uphill return was a leg-stretcher!. Facilities were basic but well-kept — toilets were clean, and plenty of food stalls offered variety without draining the wallet. Staff throughout were cheerful, helpful, and clearly proud of the event.nnThe concert itself? High energy and a fantastic atmosphere — though the Pavilion became stiflingly hot very quickly, and even the lead singer commented on it. Sound quality wasn’t quite right either; a bit tinny, possibly due to the acoustics of the fabric-roofed structure.nnOne less pleasant moment: after the show, a staff member approached with a donation bucket and looked thoroughly unimpressed when offered a couple of pounds. It felt a bit awkward and out of place given the friendly tone elsewhere.nnOverall, the Llangollen Pavilion remains a unique and enjoyable venue. I suspect it’s far more pleasant inside when the outside temperatures are a bit more Cymraeg.
Great little venue. Lovely scenic area and for the most part clean and a great crowd. There were a couple of heavily drunk lads nearby and I would have had to intervene should they get worse, but security staff were there escorting them out so they were on the ball. Impressed.
Expertly run venue with reasonable choice of eats and drinks however the draught was poor and limited in choice. They even ran out on a Sunday gig. The sound was great and the tent pretty cool. Loo facilities good and very clean. Great paid parking near by.
Visited this venu with my husband to watch UB40, we did get a slight hickup whilst entering as the website 'see tickets' we had purchased the tickets from was saying we had already entered, staff quickly sorted this out and we were able to enter. The pavillion itself is quite big, with plenty of spaces to dance. When I visit again I would definitely not turn up at the time stated on our tickets as hours past before UB40 came on stage therefore, there was a lot of waiting about but we were lucky as the sun was shining. Great place to have a concert.
