We like to visit Padstow in summer. The car park is plenty big enough and situated in the Harbour. You will find Rick Stein's shops, a shoe shop, the hatchery and other places.
Padstow is great, I mean it’s a touristy fishing village in North Cornwall with too many people and malevolent sea gulls, but it’s great. Well worth a visit, if only to marvel at how many people think walking with ill behaved dogs is absolutely fine. And tbh it’s like Surrey by the sea all summer but still great.nnThe car park though… wow. I am not a fan. The angle bays are way too narrow and the angle of them compared to the width of the road through makes parking a challenge even for a good driver. Which there are few of around Padstow in the summer. Especially with the volume of range rovers, land rovers, and other wildly Brobdingnagian vehicles.
This is a great car park if you want to go on the camel trail ,there's also a shrimp hatching centre open to visitors ,there are a few shops & a cafe also the famous Rick stein fish & chips restaurant ,the price for the car park jumps from 4 hours to 12 hours but is only £5.00 for the 12 hours you can pay by the app on your mobile or cash for a ticket ,it does get very busy even though it's a big car park ,there are also toilets down near the cafe & bike hire to cycle on the camel trail if you want ,there is also a bus that goes back to the wadebridge car park if you have parked there & walked to the Padstow car park.
