If I could give less than 1 star I would do. We parked here in 2021 due to lack of options. We now have,4 years later a fine of £170 saying we stayed longer than we paid for. What they don't tell you is your time starts as soon as you enter. It's a huge field,takes ages to park then walk to the machine,queue to pay etc. We went by the time the ticket said, as all other car parks do. It's a ridiculous system. Is anyone else paying the fine??
I received a £160.00 debt recovery letter on 3rd may 25, for a supposed overstay on 16th June 2021. You get camera entering on to a field, and on exit. I paid for 4hrs, for which i got back to my car in time., when I had queued and eventually got my ticket out of the only one of 4 machines working. Got back to my car at the far end of the field, and had to queue again behind most of the field exiting through 1 gate. Apparently they allow 5 mins grace wuppiedoo which is no where near long enough. Absolutely disgusting...I love cornwall but Never going to Padstow again, and bet many more have been trapped in the same way by this field.nI can understand fining folks that avoid paying altogether, but there should be greater grace period to allow folks to get out behind a field full of exiting vehicles.nDO BETTER ALLIANCE, or ruin the tourism in the area.
DO NOT USE!! We allegedly parked for 12 mins over our ticket, but the able clocks you as soon as you drive in & when you drive out. There is no leeway on trying to get signal to make the payment or using the machine or getting into your car & driving off!!nIt’s a long walk & the bus charges are Extra!! It’s not a park & ride!!nThere is another car park just up the road which is around the same cost & the same nice walk down into the town.
Absolute con!! £6.40 to park all day for the park and ride, get on the bus to be told another £2 per adult and £1.50 for children. No where does it mention this that I can see. Park and ride is usually all in one to keep cars out of a small or busy area. Where's the incentive here? £26.40 to use this car park as described and all you get is to park in a muddy field!! AVOID!! there's parking all day further up the road for £3 with a 5 minute walk into Padstow.
As per the other reviews, do not park here!!! 6 week old baby with a fever, had to leave urgently was only in the car park for 15mins and have been charged a £60 fine. Will never ever be returning.
