Very convenient from London to and from Oxford University. Can buy round trip tickets to save few £, thanks the driver asking me. WiFi worked only for a short time.
Very nice and comfortable. All the drivers I've had have been really lovely. There is WiFi and there are charging stations for phones. Little tables for laptops too. They were always fastidious about being on time. I couldn't download the app because my Gmail login thinks my address is in the USA which is a pain. Would be a pain for travellers too. Buy the ticket online and you can save a pound or two. The coaches are very regular which was great.
If you want to go to Oxford, good luck. Notting Hill, Shepherd's Bush, or White City, just toss a coin - maybe the bus will be there, maybe not. The disruption of service signs on stops may say one thing, their website says another, but in fact the third thing is true. The buses that were suppose to stop at White City after 5 am today, didn't. They went around. Impossible to plan any trips. Same is true for Shepard's Bush half the time. Not cool guys. What use are comfy buses if you don't know where and when they stop?
I use this service approximately once a month to visit my daughter and grandchildren who live in Oxford. A punctual service, with wi-fi and charger points. Friendly, helpful drivers.
The facilities are very good for a scheduled service. Onboard ticket machines have regularly played up of late. Buy your ticket on the app, also track the times of the coaches. Drivers are usually friendly and helpful. I've used the service for many years.
Amazingly bad, often the buses are not even coming. Today, in one hour, 2 buses were supposed to come, the first never showed up, the second pass in front of us 3 people and didn’t stop at all. We pay for what sort of service exactly? Professionalism absolute zero.
Comfortable bus, drivers not all help with putting luggages and wi fi good. Air conditioning ok if you know how to adjust it and poor view because windows dirty. Oxford bus sort your windows!
#TravelTip #TravelTipforLondon Hi All, I would like to share this Travel Tip for metropolitan cities like London, Paris, NewYork or any other city where you plan to travel with lot of luggage/suitcases and plan to commute via public transportation e.g. bus, train, metro, tube. This picture is of a tube station in London, where I reached with 3 suitcases. I took flight from Lahore to London and after exiting from airport to reach till my hotel, I had to use tube. When I reached at this point, I see that escalators are not working and there is no lift, and it was impossible to walk in these escalators and alternative stairs with 2 medium size suitcases and 1 small suitcase. I still managed as I had no other option. It was peak time at this tube station somewhere near bond street / oxford street. No one offers you help and you don't feel comfortable to ask for help. Nonetheless, there was some stranger who offered me help but I kept thinking what if this stranger runs away with my suitcase. Precisely, it was a nightmare to drag suitcases. So when you are travelling from any other country and London or any big busy city is your first stop and you plan to use local transport then keep 1-2 suitcases. Pack lightly and smartly. All the best! Hope this tip is helpful!
I was on the 7:20 bus from Victoria to Oxford today. I fell asleep and one of my headphones fell out. I waited till the last stop and asked the driver if I was ok to stay on and look for it for a few minutes. John the bus driver however had other plans, he spent a considerable amount of what I'm assuming was his break helping a stupid hungover teenager look for one of his headphones. With Johns help I found it, can't thank him enough. :
The stop near victoria coach is from greenline coach station stop 10. I see users using the app for taking the bus so i guess the issue with having to print out tickets is only relevant for email based tickets not sure from which site. Nevertheless its quite convenient to just buy printed tickets from victoria coach station nearby using the national express ticket kiosks or counters or pay on board the bus ticket slip will be printed The bus comes equipped with usb chargers and a small luggage hold. Quite ample seats on a weekday
