We saw a cafe by the river on Google Maps, so aimed for this one. Family lunch with a grown up son and teenage daughter. The service was good, the place was cool very historic but not really any views of the river. The food was good but not real chips, so they lost a star from me for this.

One of the best breakfasts. Really enjoyed it. Lovely airy building well maintained. Nice toilets and very friendly staff.
We only popped in for a coffee, which was nice. The surroundings were really lovely. Good options for inside and outside tables. The only thing which stopped five stars was that we had to wait quite a while to place our order, despite it not being busy. What we loved was that, when the waiter brought our bill, he brought the card payment machine at the same time so we didn't have a further wait to pay.
A really interesting place to eat, full of history, friendly staff, and good food of course! Because of this it can get busy, especially during tourist season.

A very old building on the side of the river, which in times of the armada was a wharf we fine this charming and friendly cafe. A warm welcome is given to all that pass over the threshold. There is seating outside as well as inside. The food and drink is exceptional, delivered with a smile and a warm friendly demeanor. You can tell how good it is by the numbers of regular customers it has. I found it recently and it's the first place I make for, for morning coffee and lunch. Walk out of the town centre to the river and you will find Queen Anne's Cafe. It come highly recommended and a must for you to visit
