25Aug2024: An absolutely fabulous day out at The Oval to see Surrey v Lancashire in the County Championship - Division One !!! Ticket was £15, the weather was gorgeous and sunny, and it was basically "access all areas" bar a few. Staff were friendly, hospitality was elegant, and views from everywhere were excellent. You're allowed to take food & drink in, but not alcohol. Toilets were very clean, as were all areas. Some fantastic views of London from the Lock Balcony. Definitely going again - a wonderful experience !!!!!
Went here to watch a 100 game. Very easy to get here from Oval tube station. Just a couple of minutes walk. There was no queue to enter 10 minutes before the game was due to start. Ticket check and bag search being very quick. Following other reviewers' advice, we brought our own lunch. The queues for food weren't that terrible from what we could see. But clearly very pricey. There are lots of toilets and water refill stations. Much appreciated on a very hot day! Only complaint was that the stewards weren't enforcing the no alcohol rule in our stand. Not that it bothered us but it might some.
It's definitely worth a visit for cricket fans. History of the Oval cricket is interesting. Visited the commentary box, press box, changing rooms, and rooftop bar. Be prepared as can be an expensive day out. Food outlets available on match days, gift shop. Plenty of toilets facilities around. Corporate events are welcomed.
At The Kia Oval for a PiXL event with sixth form teachers. Food was great! Presentation and set up looked amazing. The staff serving food and drinks and watching all stations were really helpful as well. AND we had great weather so what better way to enjoy the view of the field!
Its a MUST VISIT tour while in London. The tour is a guided one. A lot of good information is shared during the tour. Its a 90 minutes tour. They take you to Pavillion, changing rooms, and walk you around the ground along the boundary. Overall it was an amazing experience.
Went to watch the women's international T20 England vs New Zealand 4th peg of the international series. Was brilliant. My first trip to the Oval, my only criticism was the refreshments on sale we so prohibitively expensive!! Would recommend taking a pack up with you rather than relying on the food stands. But visibility of the pitch was excellent and the crowds were all there to have fun. Wonderful family inclusive atmosphere. We'll be back.
A brilliant day out the sun was shining,a full day's play watching Surrey County cricket club march on their 3rd consecutive county championship .
Here for the T20 matches. First Women's Stars Vs Vipers. Enjoyable for first time of watching. Followed by Men's Surrey Vs Somerset. Even more enjoyable. The facilities here are really good with plenty of food and drink options. Everyone was polite and it was all carried out in great spirits. Definitely try another match.
Second visit for me, first visit for the rest of our group. Fantastic day out with two games of great cricket, in both Surrey reigned victorious. Great atmosphere and entertainment. Plenty of food and drink available, however we came prepared with a picnic but took advantage of the bars. A wonderful day out was had by all.
My favourite cricket ground. So many nice people I have met here. Cricket played in all of it’s formats.
