At first I was surprised at how expensive Osborne House was but I have to say it was an excellent experience with far more on offer than I expected. The main house revealed so much more than I expected. From the bedrooms/ bathrooms, to the staff's quarters and nursery complete with original toys, there was so much on offer. The experts dotted around the house were very helpful and added some interesting insights into the inner workings (be sure to ask about the hand written menu). Outside of the house are acres of amazing grounds with lovely planned walks. The beach and beach cafe made for a perfect pit stop before looping round to the small museum house on the way back. Definitely recommend to history lovers or those just looking for a nice day out.

Beautiful house to take a look about set in beautiful surroundings. Enjoyed the Victorian Christmas back in December. Would definitely recommend. The entry price may come across a little steep but if this is the case its worth looking in to an English Heritage membership. A yearly fee would allow you into hundreds of attractions with only a small additional fee for special events. Well worth looking into. Definately recommend

A grand design. Walking around makes you feel like royalty. The artifacts are impressive and to think Victoria and Albert retreated here. It is clear to see Victoria's love of India with lounges and dining areas with 1820's Indian architecture and her love of Abdul with the Indian royal family in many paintings. It also gives an in depth history of her time in this house and her entertainment.

So much information in such beautiful surroundings. House is a marvel to view and the walks to both the beach and Swiss cottage lend their own unique experiences. Walled garden rounded off an amazing day. Food at Terrace restaurant was very good and staff were very friendly despite being clearly stretched at times.

Plenty to do to tire the kids out. History lessons with touring Osborne House and Swiss Cottage together with the beach, play areas and gorgeous walks and grounds spread over a wide area. English Heritage venue so associated membership cards valid. Great day out.
