Marvellous dining experience at Orrery. We had our anniversary dinner at Orrery and tried their Chef’s set menu. It costs £50pp before 13.5% service charge, with complimentary sparkling wine. They also apply £15 supplement on a few dishes. The service was outstanding, so we were very pleased. The Foccacia and soup were tasty, the butter glides nicely on the warm bread. I had the Dorset crab salad, it was beautifully plated and rich of flavour and I absolutely loved the Mango bits. My husband was delighted with his Lamb and Seafood ravioli with Lobster bisque. The seafood flavour definitely very distinctive and it made the sauce richer. Fantastic dining experience. Wheelchair accessibility: They have a lift
I went for a birthday meal, the food was fantastic. Our waiter Jonti was extremely attentive, very well informed about the menu and his service was excellent and could not have been more helpful. We was not rushed and was allowed to enjoy the food and drinks, whilst enjoying the summer weather. I'd certainly return.Food: 5/5
Where do I even begin. Orrery is an absolute hidden gem in Marylebone tucked away at the end of the high street. We enjoyed every course of our food, not only it’s delicious, the chef is creative and playful to tasting palettes. It’s just one of the kind. Service is impeccable, not rushed, detail oriented and very attentive. We came here to celebrate a birthday, the team made note of it and made the night extra special to my boyfriend. All in all, it’s worth every penny and we will definitely return. Hands down one of the best French restaurants we have been to in London.
Although we do not work or live in London anymore but we still go back for a meal from time to time. The restaurant is located right in the middle of the most fashionable London. The place is beautifully decorated with art deco style, - clean, calm and romantic. The staff are always make you feel welcoming, the foods are amazing, value for money!!!
Had a wonderful night here. We tried the tasting menu, everything was so tasty and the wine was great- would recommend. Service was exceptional. The restaurant itself was a nice layout however something was missing, it was quite quiet and not a lot of people were dining but I'll put this down to it being a Monday night.Food: 5/5
Wonderful dining experience while visiting London, you must not miss this hidden gem. Not a typical tourist place, but worth locating and the time spending there. The manager Andrea is your expert on any allergy concern you or your guest may have, the Sommelier Julio was one of the best I’ve seen. Not one of his suggestions disappointed us. I’m a red wine person generally and he serve us 3 white wines that each one was better than the other. The food and service was incredible. I can not elaborate on food and beverage as it’s a matter of personal taste, but I can assure you will not be disappointed with that many choices of delicious items on the menu combine with a superior service. My complement to all staff. Had many good meals in different parts of London during different visits, but this one left me with an unforgettable impression. Dietary restrictions: Gluten and dairy allergy accommodation
A tastefully designed restaurant with nice views of the church garden across. No worries if the window seats are not available, as the strategically located mirrors allow you to see the church garden even if your back is to the wide oval windows. It is one of our favourite London restaurants. The modern take on French cuisine is spot on and the food, delicious. There is a wide selection of wine. The service is always amazing. Rita, the maitre d', gave us a nice quiet table, and Dhruvi, our server, was attentive and extremely helpful with our dietary restrictions. The Dorset crab, mango, wasabi, and avocado is my favourite starter. Seafood ravioli, lobster bisque is really good. The red wine poached salmon fillet cooked just right and the melt in the mouth lamb shoulder were all super yummy. We had the traditional French dessert but with a modern twist lemongrass brulee with blood orange sorbet. Reservations are a must. A walk down Marylebone High Street voted as one of the prettiest high streets in London after the meal will help burn off some of the calories.
Beautiful food and service. Sat for lunch on the roof terrace and the set menu was amazing. The waiters are all super friendly and helpful would highly recommend. They also have a fantastic wine list.Food: 5/5
Had a corporate event here in the private room. The staff were exceptionally professional and attentive. Service was very quick and the food was delicious. From a technical requirement point of view the staff were also very helpful and willing. Great location and an elegant establishmentFood: 5/5
Went on a Sunday expecting it to be quiet. It had 3 tables of people it was completely dead. The interior is old and outdated. The menu for has extremely limited choice. We tried the chefs menu but the crab and steak best option both had a supplement of £20 extra so the meal quickly doubled in price. The 45 doesn’t include service charge so that’s a bit sneaky bait and switch approach. You can have rose or cocktail. No red wine on that menu. Rose was good but cocktail was a champagne cocktail and tasted like the flat end of the bottle. The crab starter tastes like it was in a fridge pre prepared and overly cold. Partner had salmon said it was ok nothing special. Then for main I had the beef with truffle jus. For such an expensive nice cut of steak it completely lacked any flavour. Partner also has the pepper steak again wasn’t great. Had the chocolate dessert and lemon dessert both were boring and average. Whole seating was over in less than 1.5 hrs and were the last 2 there. Ruined an anniversary. Was a mistake to pick this place. Cannot recommend enough to stop keeping these places going by saying they are ‘fine’ when they just aren’t. Rip off for poor experience.
