Helping Local People Live Healthier Lives

Leeds Beckett University
With over 28,000 students and 2,900 staff, Leeds Beckett is one of the largest universities in the country. The university was the first in the UK to hold both the Customer Service Excellence award and the Investors in People Gold Standard. Leeds Beckett acts as the lead academic and research partner for OneLife Suffolk and provides research opportunities and clinical skills training.
MoreLife
MoreLife is a leading provider of effective weight management, physical activity and health improvement programmes and has helped thousands of people to successfully lose weight. The company was founded by Professor Paul Gately, Professor of Exercise and Obesity at Leeds Beckett University, in 1999. Programmes include a combination of behaviour change, physical activity, nutrition education and lifestyle change with a strong focus on individual needs.
Quit 51
Quit 51 is an exceptional stop smoking service that uses the latest research, evidence and licensed medication to support people in achieving their goals. All of their staff are highly qualified, very experienced advisers, many with other qualifications such as nurses and midwives. Quit 51 is one of only 4 services in the country to be awarded Approved Provider status, giving you the confidence that their service is effective and evidence based.
Healthier Futures
Healthier Futures (formerly Tobacco Free Futures) is a social enterprise and their mission is to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives by working to make smoking history for children, creating communities free from alcohol harm, supporting communities and environments where healthier choices are easier choices and campaigning to make healthier choices easier choices.
Through their work tackling tobacco, Healthier Futures have developed a reputation as public health and communications experts, and they work with lots of different people locally and nationally to make this happen, including local authorities, NHS organisations, community groups, schools and colleges and national government organisations.
