My daughters and I had a lovely time riding round Cumbrae. The bikes were great and really reasonably priced. The scenery is magnificent, and the pace of cycling is the perfect way to see it. The road was very quiet and easy enough to ride. We encountered only a handful of cars, and they gave way to us, as cyclists! On Your Bike - Highly recommended.
Excellent customer service. Staff were very helpful and assisted taking the kayak to the slip and launch it. Super friendly, terrific value, great banter, highly recommend
The staff were friendly and helpful. We chatted for ages about the town and built up a good rapport. The decision to go kayaking really made our trip away together extra special. We got to row past several seals and relax in the Eileans 3 unoccupied islands in the bay at Newton Shore. The views were stunning and it was great to get an opportunity to be alone together in such a beautiful place. I don't have much experience of kayaking but I felt perfectly safe. The kayak we used a double was sturdy and we were given life jackets and the staff went through all the safety procedures with us. Overall we had a lovely time in Largs/Millport and our kayak adventure was the highlight. We intend to return to try the cycling and possibly go on another kayaking adventure.
Hired kayaks and bikes yesterday and had so much fun around the island. Staff are absolutely lovely, could not fault them one bit and would highly recommend :
We used On Your Bike twice last week, would highly recommend them. We did a loop of the island in the 4 wheeler, great fun but get ready for a workout! We said to the guy in the shop that we thought it would take an hour, the guy in the shop laughed, he was right it took just under 2 hours to do the loop! We went back a second time and hired a bike each for a day.
My daughter and I hired two touring bikes for the day. Very reasonably priced. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had a lovely cycle round Greater Cumbrae with beautiful hot weather.
I cycled around Millport today on my own bike, I needed assistance with my seat and the owners/workers were more than happy to help me. Welcoming ,friendly and very helpful, even though they did not rent me anything today. Much appreciated.They also told me about their fab deals on SUP & kayaking, defo be back to give this a try. Highly recommend
I hired an electric bike today from On Your Bike! Millport. The e-bike was in great condition and was excellent to ride. It made cycling around Cumbrae island a very easy and enjoyable experience indeed. The staff that dealt with me in the shop were both extremely helpful and exceptionally friendly. Helmets were offered though not compulsory for free and I also found their free breakdown recovery service, advertised as being a mere phonecall away from a number that was clearly displayed on the bike, to be very reassuring indeed not that I ever had any cause to use it. The only reason I’m not giving this review 5 stars however, is because I did not appreciate the way that the staff were making a point of trying to pressurise myself and other customers albeit NOT in an aggressive way into paying by cash, virtually to the point of begging us to do so. I have never agreed with the whole “Cash Is King” movement that seems to be such a popular craze on social media at the moment. I’ve always felt that cash and cards are equally important and that a good business should always allow customers to feel absolutely free including free from guilt to choose whichever accepted payment method is most suited to them. Having said this though, I must state that they did allow me to make my main payment by card although the deposit had to be cash - I was already aware of this, as it was clearly stated on the website.
Me and my partner went to this lovely place to rent out the e bikes and the kayaks while we stayed in millport for a few days! The staff are so welcoming, knowledgeable and just overall wonderful! It's very reasonably priced and the quality of products we rented were top notch! Would definitely recommend for anyone who's staying in millport and fancies a cycle around the island or a paddle on the water! We will definitely be back!
Lovely staff, gentleman at the shop helped me out with a slow puncture whilst on a bike ride around the island.
