This place was fantastic! I got a Lasagna and a pizza which were amazing!! The best part about this place is the service. Literally the best service in ALL of Scotland hands down cause I’ve had to wait all the time to order or get a drink at other places but here they were very fast, nice, professional. Price was also very fair. Make sure to give this place a try!
A lovely little restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The staff were all really friendly and the food was gorgeous, and not bad prices either. Highly recommend the lasagna & tiramisu. We sat inside but it is possible to sit outside which would be nice if the sun is shining
Great find. Fantastic pizza and the Ragu is great too. Friendly service. Seating both inside & outside. I highly recommend the pizzas. Very authentic. Dropped on this place by chance. Genuine Italian, clean, service honest and impeccable. Food probably the best Italian food we have had in the UK. I would say underpriced for the quality on offer. Cannot recommend highly enough.
This place is a little gem. We have just finished eating there on a trip to Edinburgh. Warm friendly atmosphere the staff were lovely. The Fettuccine ala scoglio was beautiful loads of mussels and cockles in their shells prawn calamari and topped by a Langoustine. Superb. Followed by beautiful Panacotta and berries. Next time we are back this will be the first place we eat out
Decent enough place for a bite to eat. Friendly staff. My pizza topping of pulled beef was quite sparse as was the tuna on my wife's pizza, they could definately have been more generous on the toppings. The kids enjoyed what they had. It was a tad overpriced at £82 for a family of 4, the alcohol was 1.5pints of lager and a glass of red...no pudding....so a bit steep. The table next to us had a complaint about summat and didn't have to pay and another couple moaned about waiting 40 mins for their main. Like I said we had a decent enough meal but I wouldn't return.
We were surprised how good the service and the food was at o’Oliviera. For a total of 25£ we got the garlic bread, bruschetta, olives, potatoes as well as water & a double espresso.
The whole experience of our lunch at this restaurant was exceptional. The setting was lovely, the staff were both courteous and knowledgeable and the food was delicious and well presented. For anyone that may be concerned about portion size, I can tell you they were huge. For 2 starters, 2 mains and 4 drinks we paid £50.00 There was nothing to fault the entire experience and we will certainly go again te next time we are in Edinburgh.
Visiting this beautiful city and on the last day decided to get some dinner at O’ Olivero. I ordered at the entrance for a takeaway, I was told to go and wait outside… it was 4c and raining heavily. The restaurant was not busy at the rear, I pointed to a seat I could take until the order was ready… again I was told to go and wait outside. This is absolutely disgusting customer service… the worst I have ever encountered. The restaurant was not full, there were plenty of tables spare… and I was more than happy to wait. This is unacceptable behaviour… to take my custom then to make me stand outside in the cold and rain when you have room inside?? Bad form.
Beautiful food. Huge portions. Very nice staffFood: 4/5
