Big thank you to the officer’s on retrieving my sons stolen bike.
Do not do their jobs!!! Reported an assault, police said they will do nothing as the perpetrator was 11 victim was also 11 and ended up in a&e then the parent of this original perpetrator accosted the parent and sibling of original victim threatening allsorts to both adult and child, so again we contacted police and surprise surprise they will do nothing about that either. Complete waste of space, police who do not actually police anyone!!! Will be logging an official complaint but this station should be closed as they do nothing nor achieve anything, completely ineffective no wonder people take the law into their own hands, total waste of our taxes!!!

My house got burgled. I had a witness, mainly my neighbour. I got a pretty good discription of the culprit from her and went to work. Trawling through some mugshots of local scallywags, I got some efits, about five in total to show her. After going through the first two with her, with no joy, she then became fixated with the third one. "That's him" she said. Without a ounce of hesitation in her voice. "Tell the police I'll give a statement, I'll even go to court if I have too". With that I thanked my good neighbour delighted in the brilliant police work I had completed as I had wrapped the case up in a lovely bow for those boys down the station. I immediately got the phone to the station and told the "officer" we had cracked the case for them. They told me a policeman would be round as soon as possible to take a statement... It was nine months later before they came round and got that statement. And after a chat with the investigating officer, she my neighbour refused to give a statement. I don't know what was said to her but I wasn't happy with her explanation or the action of the police. Needles to say the council want "council tax" money from me to pay for the police, and the fortnightly bin collection that was cut down to once every three weeks... Well you can imagine what I had to say to them!!! ******
Call 1st, advertised times for public enquiries listed outside station do not match reality. One afternoon on a very wet and windy Sunday in February wasted.
I had the dubious pleasure of being arrested,charged and held in custody for a weekend some time ago. As the son of a former Chief Inspector in the Metropolitan Police I have the utmost respect for our police officers putting their lives on the line every day to keep us safe. The officers who arrested me and the station staff were courteous and professional. Bearing in mind that I had not been convicted AND NEVER WAS!! of any offence the custody cells were totally de-humanising. The cell was freezing cold at the height of summerI was kindly given an extra blanket, there was no running water to wash myself, I had to ask for loo roll to use a toilet that didn't flush and the lights were permanently turned on. I was held for nearly 48 hours with no opportunity for exercise. Refreshment was ad hoc; tea and coffee were undrinkable and the only food edible was the cornflakes! The system is at fault not the Police Officers. INNOCENT TILL PROVEN GUILTY........NOT IN A GMP POLICE CELL!
going down broadway in oldham sticking to the 40 speed limit. i go past the last speed camera heading toward manchester when a bmw police car puts his full beams ehich dazzled me and also tailgating, flashes his light for me to move out the way. i signal to turn right onto the otherside of broadway to get to my mums house and he speeds off. Talk about domaneering police behaviour...
