Established in 2010 by the Open Minds Theatre Company.

Story

In 2010 The Old Market Buildings were acquired by Open Minds Theatre Company on a meanwhile lease. The original agreement was the Old Market would be used to display works during the Rotherham Open Arts Festival, although after a huge surge of interest the gallery had clearly found its place within the town centre.

The Old Market Gallery is now regularly used for exhibitions, festivals, shows and events. The gallery has seen such exhibitions and events as the RCAT Art and Design final show, ROAF, Wilmott Dixon and Social Services,Rotherham Arts Events -Fringe and many more exciting showcases of local talents

Our vision is to break boundaries and to show people that ART IS FOR EVEYONE!! INCLUDING YOU!!
By helping to raise the profile of local artist in Rotherham we aspire to get more and more people involved. We are committed to offering the public open access to see local artist and their talents in a comfortable and welcoming surrounding.
