Travelled down from Glasgow this weekend to visit my dad and brother and, with no exaggeration, had the best meal and dining experience if my life Sunday afternoon at the Old Halfway House. Tremendous prawn cocktail starter with huge prawns, followed by the main show - a 3 roast main course of succulent turkey, pork and topside beef topped with a mountainous fresh-made Yorkshire pudding. Every element superbly prepared, cooked and presented. Totally stuffed on finishing the lot, a 10 minute gap, then a selection of 'mini puds' - absolutely delicious and ingenious idea - a tapas of desserts. I cannot wait until April when I visit Horbury again with wife and kids.

Nice quaint pub. Great selection of drinks. Good food menu. Plenty of outdoor seating. Staff friendly and polite.

Both of us had lunch time menu's with a starter and enjoyed the food and service will definitely use it again

Nice cosy place that's nicely between causal and smart. Plenty to choose from at the bar, nice friendly staff. Good choice of meals that aren't just microwaved. Nice area outside too for when the weather is nice. Not far from trendy horbury
