Rather disappointed with our visit to Bier Huis.. The locals seemed happy enough drinking and watching the horse racing.. However for our first visit there, after travelling from Barnsley through to Ossett - purely to see what they had to offer - we felt as though we weren't even acknowledged - no "hello" or checking to see if we needed any help, assistance or advice.. Small independent businesses need to remember that you only get one chance at making a first impression, and sadly, in this case, we came away with the impression that our custom and business was not important, valued or wanted - let alone needed.. As such, we will not be travelling that far again, just to be treated in such an offhand manner.. Shame really, as their variety of both local and international beers and spirits is well worth sampling, and we still came away with over £50 worth of goodies.. Range and Variety : Excellent Customer Service : Poor

Super selection of beer, cider, gin etc. Great for something new to try or hard to find.

Much more than a shop that sells beer. Bottled beers from the UK, Belgium, Germany and elsewhere. Cider, Gin, Vodka and Wine. They have a licence and you can drink in or take out. Cask beer on draft at very reasonable prices, give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Lovely environment and enjoyed tasting the 5 different beers that were on the menu. Hoping to book the cider experience in October. Thanks for a great evening.
