Rather disappointing. A beautiful old thatched Inn that used to have real character, is now nothing but the front. Once you are through the door it could be any modern pub with large open plan seating areas and a modern restaurant at the rear. The menu looks good, but whilst the food is OK, it lacks depth of flavour. A very strange menu position is given to Nachos, which are billed as a side order. The portion is massive and wold make a good sharing starter or a main course for one, especially if taken with the addition of the beef chilli or chicken and chorizo. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
We were visiting the area and cane across the pub. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The Sunday Carvery was outstanding with the choice of three meats. Some carveries offer choice of meat but with dried out vegetable, not here, the selection was so great and so different to other places. I could not fault the inn and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. Parking: On site
Awesome place it’s old looking and very country looking. Walk inside it’s like walking into another world, we a pub and a restaurant. There’s lots of seating, a lovely big fire and staff are very friendly. The food is fantastic there was about 20 of us and there were no complaints. I’m going back and will add photos when I take them. But if you’re ever there please visit it’s absolutely brilliant.
Fabulous Sunday roast. Tasted delicious. Brilliant selection of vegetables. Washed down with a very tasty and refreshing Beavertown Neck Oil IPA. Excellent.
We booked a table at the Old Beams Inn and when we arrived we were well received a warm welcome and we're quickly seated at our table which had old pews installed. The food was served promptly and was very tasty.
Really lovely friendly pub. Food was delicious and live music a bonus. Fabulous find in a beautiful part of the country.
Really lovely place to eat. Came in here for Sunday lunch today 3 of us with a dog and child hadn't booked and it was very busy. They fitted us in and promptly took our drinks order. Carvery was so tasty and child's chicken meal was a Very reasonable size and looked good. Really friendly attentive staff lovely atmosphere -will definitely return:
It was a very enjoyable meal despite my husband's pie being overcooked. It was replaced by a very tasty one. My pasta was delicious.Food: 4/5
Great indoor & outdoor space! Extensive menu with very tasty food, I had scampi , with lovely thick cut chips & side salad & my friend had an extremely yummy risotto! Staff were so friendly ; helpful & only short wait for food. Inches cider was gorgeous on a hot day too! Really can't fault this pub!!
Fabulous pub. Superb veggie selection. I had the Wild mushroom, Fava bean Risotto. Delicious. Washed it down with one of their own ales. Wife had the Mexican chilli with a Thieves cider. "I'll be back" as Arnie would say.
