Story

Off The Beaten Path is independently owned by Wayne & Lynne Sharpe and previously established by Angela and Darryl Woolward. We strive to provide the perfect combination of coffee, food, service and surroundings.

Our mission is to give you the best possible service with a smile, coffee that is consistently of the highest quality, a wide selection of homemade cakes and well presented lunches, all served in fresh, modern surroundings.... and with a smile.

Lovely little coffee shop in the heart of the town. Very friendly staff and good service. Coffee was excellent and quality of overall experience was very impressive.

Excellent place for coffee and cake (or tea of you want) lots of variety. Home made cake and soups. Asked about gluten free options and they were able to say exactly what went into each soup decided on leek and potato, excellent choice.

We had a lovely breakfast here after staying in the nearby Premier Inn. A warm cheese scone, fresh out of the oven, with Stilton cheese (what else in Melton Mowbray?) and chutney for my partner and a wonderful smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel with scrambled eggs for me. Because my order was 'off menu' I was initially overcharged, although hadn't realised it, but they returned the excess when they realised. Excellent coffee and range of teas, with teapots that don't dribble!
