We got the premium seats but even in the dark you could tell the covers were dirty, stained, and some were even ripped, trying to find 2 clean seats next to each other, even in an empty cinema, was difficult. The toilets could do with a clean and some air freshener and the carpeted areas could do with hoovering occasionally and/or replacing.nOn the plus side, the staff were very polite, friendly and helpful and there were 3 staff per customer.
As cinemas go, pretty good, but the way Odeon has transformed to airline ticket pricing system is just silly. The normal seats are perfectly adequate for 3 hours, any longer then perhaps you might need an upgrade, but the real pain in the backside being the view from the normal seats requires you to either crain your neck to look up or bow your head to look down. Some normal prices seats at either side of the screens would be welcome.nAlso given how helpful the staff are, have more tills with people rather than automated tickets screens.nBooking system online, feels a little like a visit to the dentist pulling teeth
Comfortable chairs, good surround sound. Helpful, polite staff. Theatres have always been clean and well maintained. Parking available. One star less because of the snacks in the kiosk. The popcorn albeit expensive, is almost always stale.
Visited the Odeon recently and was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming the staff were. Bjorn in particular stood out, he was incredibly friendly and welcoming, with a genuine smile from start to finish. You can tell he truly enjoys his job, he made my visit feel really positive.
Great service although most of it is self service now! and clean and tidy. One star knocked off because the toilets always smell absolutely rancid. Would also avoid the hotdogs as really overpriced for a cheap sausage on stale bread. Good for a once in a while wet weather day but wouldn’t frequent
