Great place. I don't understand why you can't buy tickets in the place with physical money though? Why has it changed to just buying online and paying by card through some digital board? It's quite inconvenient when you just want to buy a ticket with cash and watch something on a whim.
The Odeon 10 miles away in Ayr is MUCH, MUCH cheaper. Kilmarnock has better facilities out the front for food etc, of course these will make money too, but it has badly aged seats and screens compared to modern cinemas. They charge the same price as modern cinemas though. I don't mind paying for the cinema but when you see what you get for your money elsewhere, Kilmarnock is just a rip off.
Good cinema, all the usual films and decent seating. Harriet was brilliant today resolving an issue we had with the online ticketing system. Thanks.
My favourite cinema, I joined the Limitless programme and am never away from it now. I enjoy the seating and the staff are always friendly. The building is always very clean and welcoming and the location is great. A great night out.
Another merchant that has adopted the 'host' role I see. No offence to the person actually doing it, god bless them. They go out their way to try and direct cattle, as the herd push through the barriers, moo'ing instinctively, and grazing on bags of sweets and crisps, bought OUTSIDE THE CINEMA. In the world of automation, collecting tickets via an app, ordering your munchies on an app, and picking them up... The host... Is the laziest role ever. The equivalent of that joke builders have, by getting the newbie to 'catch the sparks from the saw in a bucket', or like being sent to the hardware shop by your manager, and being told to ask for a 'long stand' In comparison to visiting the luxurious Odeon in Leicester Square, London.. the Odeon in Kilmarnock is timeless. The same stale seats throughout some picture halls, that have been there for years. It needs revamping, it needs a touch of the Odeon Lux about it. It's a main picture hall across a wide area in Ayrshire. If Odeon do read this overly dramatic, Alan Partridge style review, please, make Kilmarnock in Ayrshire great again
The prices are ridiculous. My wife and I took our 2 granddaughters 4 and 2 to see Matilda 29/12/22. The cost £47, absolutely outrageous.
This is only the second time I've been here. On both occasions my viewing pleasure has been ruined by unaccompanied youths disrupting the movie for everyone. I did complain to the establishment and eventually they were removed from the cinema.
The place was clean and the movie quality was good but I didn't enjoy having to sit through 30 minutes of ads before the movie but apart from that it was nice.
Great place to go. £15 for a monthly pass. Similar to to most streaming services except it's on the big screen.
Comfy seats, food and drink bit pricy so took our own. Screen rooms clean
