Paying for parking on this site is now via a PayandPark. App. The cash machine has been out of operation for several months.nTried calling the number provided to make a payment but it is all automated and very complicated. Tried setting up the App whilst on site but again this proved difficult. Eventually left the car park and found a space on a local road.nLots of people turning up to park and all were frustrated.nThis is a good car park in a good location with lots of space. Just a shame it is so difficult to pay.
parked my car for an hour 30/10/23. the price should be £1.50 but the machine was faulty and payments could only be made by the app 'PayByPhone'. The same hour ended up costing me £2.03 via the app. I think a 35% markup is a scandal.
Good car park space. However, the single pay and display machine was faulty and its display blank. Paid online on phone after regulars warned of large fines if you just put a note in your windscreen saying machine broken as the parking wardens ignore them. Appeals they said weee rejected too. So take care. Others who couldn't do it by phone drove away rather than risk a fine.
Great location to start my hike towards Ladybower Res and then Stanage Edge. Relatively cheap too at £6 for 8 hours. Also clearly signposted toilets nearby which was ideal after my 2 hour journey.
Handy for vaccine in Memorial hall. The toilets are actually in centre of Hathersage about a 5 minute walk. Price at £1.50 per hour is OK for a very quick visit. The spaces are as small as allowed.
