What a great local. Friendly employees. Very clean environment. We had Sunday breakfast into Sunday brunch. Very reasonably priced at £5.49 for a full English breakfast. U can't get better. It would be 5star but unfortunately the breakfast could have been hotter. We will certainly be going there again.
We had gone to about 6 different pubs in the area, and none were serving food until 6 without warnings online. With a hungry pregnant wife, I was close to losing my life, however the Ock n Dough saved my skin. We assumed they would not let dogs inside, but they actually invited us indoors when they noticed we were outside. Really easy app to order from, lovely food and staff there. Very very very happy with experience, thoroughly recommend, and will be going again before we leave
Only talking about today's experience for us. We ordered food at the bar the man who served us was great but as soon as I put my order in I was told the baby food on the menu wasn't available at all so had to opt for a kid's tomato pasta for my almost 7 month old. Food took almost an hour to come out but we were apologised to so that's OK. But considering how long it took we were really unhappy with how it came out. My mum ordered a Chicken New Yorker and the chips and peas were not cooked properly and the chicken was on the border of almost being undercooked. The tomato pasta that came out for my baby was also undercooked and too hard for her to eat. It also had almost no sauce on it so we couldnt even give her the sauce. We ordered mash with it but that was really dry so she struggled to eat that too. Mixed with the tiny bit of sauce on the pasta but unfortunately still hard to eat. I ordered the chicken tikka for myself which was cooked fine but was not very warm by the time I got it. I did eat it anyway though so couldn't complain about that.
Such a lovely place with spirit . Always great time here. Family friendly, nice garden, good food and brilliant service. Big carpark.
Table for 4 at 6.30 on a Saturday evening. We were warned that there was a 40 minute wait for food orders. Our order arrived in 15 minutes. Food was fine, no problems. The staff were really nice. And made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant was clean and tidy and all tables were promptly cleaned and made ready for the next people.
It's a nice pub and the food was good,service was good also, yes a few mistakes were made but soon put right quickly, the staff look after you well enough and asked on quite a few occasions if everything was ok with the meal.
Superb and so easy ordering everything with the Greene king app, no need to qué to place an order. Food portions..very generous with great taste.
Came from Shropshire visiting relations and booked in yesterday for dinner. The main course was lovely and extremely fair priced with generous portions. However we were let down by the puddings… the apple and berry pie was sadly just apple and my hubbys sticky toffee pud didn’t arrive until we chased it up.
We visited yesterday and wasn’t impressed by the service or the food. The main meals and sides were ordered at the same time but the sides arrived first and the mains arrived almost 5 minutes later. The burgers we ordered had hardly any sauce on them and the sides were missing the dips that the menu specified they came with. The server told us he was going to bring the dips out and never returned to our table but walked passed us several times. The food was over cooked and the burgers didn’t resemble what they looked like in the images in the menu. Very poor experience.
Great pub to visit! Great prices and amazing service from Callum. He was really friendly and went the extra mile to make sure my burger had extra cheese! Will definitely be back soon!
