Obento

We had an all sushi meal, with some set menus to share between a few people. It was fairly average, but a couple of the salmon pieces were definitely off. The staff were quite rude and un-friendly, with a bit of an attitude when we asked for the table to be wiped down (it wasn't clean). Would not go again. I know better sushi restaurants to go to in Bristol, with better service and value for money.

The best Dynamite roll and Tempura I've had in a long time is all I'm vouching for in this place. And big portions too. I hadn't been to this place in over 5 years, but had fond memories of it. Went for a bank holiday lunch and we were the only people there, but I believe it's usually busy-ish. The food was much better than I remember and obviously service was quick, therefore 5 stars. The place does need a bit of redecoration, which is a sign for me that care for the food may be a bit inconsistent if the owner does not look after the upkeep of the place. If you have never been here before, I'd say definitely give it a try and you might fall in love with the place and become a regular. The hot food is really nice. As long as you're not a connoisseur, you'll find the sushi to be ok. I don't think it's an authentic Japanese chef or owner (where is nowadays?) but that doesn't mean that it can't do good food.

Obento has been one of my favourite restaurants for years now. Consistently good Japanese food, and always a pleasant dining atmosphere. The tables are spacious, so it’s a good place to come with a group. I tend to opt for the set meals, which are very good value.

Fantastic at peak times - one of my favourite. Last visit wasn't great, service was a bit reluctant and the salmon tasted different to usual. Would recommend visiting at peak time.

Very good sushi, reasonable prices and very kind and nice staff, one of the best sushi places I have ever visited.
