Absolutely shocking treatment for over a month requesting a face to face appointment and continually being fobbed off with phone calls. Had to see emergency out of hours doctor to get a diagnosis and prescription.
I'm absolutely shocked that this surgery has garnered such harsh reviews. Understandably people can only review on personal experience, however, try and remember not just the visit or call that upset you but the many times you've attended where things went right and you were treated successfully. I've been with this practice 20+ years and wouldn't go anywhere else. I have to see my doctor Dr Glen on a regular basis and have always received exceptional and compassionate care. He takes the time to explain options, try alternatives, and to gently cajole you in the right direction. The reception team have always been friendly and extremely professional, often bending over backwards to accommodate special requests or re-jig appointments. The ladies, and practice as a whole, do a fantastic job during a really difficult time and are very much appreciated. The one problem I have is phonelines seemingly constantly engaged and/or ringing out, it's infuriating. I'm not sure if it's a fault with the system or some other problem, but it definitely needs fixing quickly.
Nurses acts as doctors, asking to wait 4-6 weeks, doctors never respond or see the patients, they are obliging to use a stupid app to get rid of patients in clinic. Never seen such a dreadful service, literally they don’t want to be bothered to check the patients and ask us to suffer at home for weeks and seek support for NHS pay rise. Unbelievable.
I have had very positive experience with this practice: Appointment, phone cosiltation and ask my GP. Staff have always been very friendly, professional and helpful.
Terrible cinema, tiny screens that only show health related shorts and if that wasn't bad enough a wee women would intermittently scream a random name every so often and don't get me started on snacks not a box of popcorn in sight, naaa travel to Clydebank far bigger screens.
This is the worst doctors surgery I have ever visited. Unhelpful support staff and condescending and dismissive doctors from the very first appointment. I was only there for a couple of years before I had to change because they would just simply either be busy or never pick up the phone for literal DAYS - no answering machine either. Finally got through once, I got a 10 day advance appointment for abdominal pain !!! which was then just cancelled through a terribly misspelled and unprofessional looking text and I was told to phone to rearrange - of course no hopes of getting through to them on the phone again. Support staff is even worse behaved and less empathetic than the doctors, apart from maybe a couple of nurses? Shame on you.
Sent me a text to arrange an appointment for a long term condition but it seems it was a mistake - embarrassing from the surgery. Phoned over 30 times this morning to try and make an appointment just to be disconnected every time.
This drs surgery is beyond a joke to call as can’t get through and I have been trying nearly a week now. My daughter needs seen to also I need a blood test also can’t get my repeated prescriptions as need to talk to dar and can’t do that as it’s constant engaged tone. Better if got rid of this surgery completely
in order for me to see a doctor i choose the ones i dont get a vibe like " im a pain" as when you need to see a doctor your already vunerable. recently ive had excellent care from a new doc there and the sis with the blonde hair. The 2 stars are for them although i would give them 5 if it was just for them. The other nurse i dread getting, linda rennie. i phoned when i awoke to a swollen ankle and could weight bear or walk on ankle. Her reply to me was " and what do you want me to do"? I ended up going to hospital and in a boot for 6 weeks couldnt flex my foot very painful tendon issues still not 100 percent. Lastly the admin staff are just so unhelpful and couldnt care less considering its suppose to be a caring profession the attitude is very " how can i NOT help somebody" and they enjoy it. instead of thinking how can i help paitents. Very sad as ive been with this practice since i was born it deffo changed when they moved from bank street. I dread needing a doctor it stresses me out having to get past admin or the risk i may get linda the nurse instead of the other lovely sis with blonde hair. They used to close on a wed afternoon for team briefing or something maybe they should concentrate on customer service, which should be a huge part of this job. Also no point complaining through their channels as they enjoy giving them out. Their complaint system doesnt seem to work ive had to do it many times.
sick of trying to get through this morning saying surgery is closed absolutely disgusting
