Oakengates delivery depot does not seems to be able to keep their staff or have honest ones that actually try to deliver large parcels. They don’t knock the door or leave a card. So far this year I’ve had to wait in over 20 times for parcels that have not been attempted to be delivered. This means extra days off work. The standards are shocking yet they seem to be able to deliver junk mail no problem at all. Their only saving grace is customer services who are polite and respectful.
My delivery was given in the wrong address and took a picture of a random neighbours door with my parcel hanging out the letter box claiming that it was 'delivered'. Please employ someone that can do the right job. I've heard bad reputation about The Royal Mail in my local area that it seems to be a habbit... and I wonder why!
terrible delivery office. the standard of the royal mail has gone down hill considerably. when you open a gate to access a property its customary to CLOSE it once you leave, and not leave it open for children / animals to escape! There are still a 'few' decent postal workers who call this depot their workplace, but they are very few and far between. Also when a item says 'do not bend' that means you don't bend it to force it through the letter box
Nice of the sorting office to reduce its collection opening times from 8am to 10am on weekdays but not put that information anywhere except on the gate when you arrive. Both Google and the Royal Mail website states it is open until 2pm. Getting their act together to update these would mean the dozen plus people alone that turned up on their lunch break the same time I did to find it closed wouldn’t have had a wasted trip. Pretty poor service. You’re making it more difficult all the time for working people to get their deliveries.
Absolutely disgusting service.nWhy would you not ring a persons doorbell? There was a car on my drive and I have my Ring Doorbell footage of you just pushing a card through without even trying to contact me. The first time I was in the house, today I wasn't but again they didn't ring my doorbell and they just shoved another card through. Why can't they do their job? How can you not know how to ring a doorbell? No attempt to leave with or try my neighbour who's door is next to mine as instructed either. Absolutely dire service and I won't be ordering from any company that uses Royal Mail anymore. Its bad enough they have to come onto my property and treat my post with such disrespect as it is. The fact that they know I can see what they are doing is even more unforgivable.
