as a student of this academy , I think that this school is amazing . it have changed over the last years and I am great full to be in this school but , I must say that most teachers I have meet don't really care about swearing . in my opinion oak has made its school 4/5 for me ! :
My son suffered at the hands of a teacher who ripped up work instead of saying what was wrong,same teacher would make inappropriate comments to my son and other children. Terrible school, staff need to be taught how to recognise and help children with mental health issues/ ASD, not just say school is not for them and coerce parents into home schooling to protect their figures. Asked numerous times for a report on what they did/put in place to help my son but each time the request was ignored. So submitted complaints to ofsted. Please train your staff well,if i could i would be rating 0 right now.
The place is ok I guess. The schools exterior could have been improved and the teaching towards other pupils could also be improved also. Most of the staff are kind and welcoming whereas some staff can be harsh towards others when someone doesn't do anything wrong. I would reccomend someone did to attend this school but teaching needs to be improved first
the school is alright good teaching staff and bullying is at a low percentage. but the school interior and exterior is ruined beyond belief, and the best thing is that the school instead of repairing and maintaining spent all there money on a refurbishment of the old nursery into a maths block which wasn't needed as the school now has a whole floor of classroom unused by anyone. also the school toilets are beyond words of how unclean and unhygienic you walk in and the floor is flooded with urine, and only about half the toilets are actually operational. plus there is never any toilet paper or soap in the toilets. also the school just before i arrived here had built a new sports centre, and instead of using it for there students they gave it away to the studio school. they also moved all the students from all the years to 1 singular playground instead of spreading them across 2. now i feel i have ranted on enough about the bad conditions in the place. but know that i am now in year 11 when i got the change to choose my options they were limited. but the new year 9 were able to choose things like GCSE Music and Car Maintenance. i was going to leave this 3 stars but recalling all this stuff i think is deserves 1nthank you for your time.
This school is a dumpster fire disguised as an academy. Firstly the school rules are harsh, unfair and quite frankly, unnecessary. The teachers tend to be biased to the students who 'behave' more and punish those they dislike with unfair punishments. A handful of teachers just remove you from the lesson without a mere warning. If i could rate it 0 stars i would. Good day!
