Horrible venue as a music fan. Standing downstairs is over 3 levels and even on the upper levels it's still almost impossible to see the stage if you're under 5ft5. Choice of bars at least but then there's the sound. On the upper levels it's hard to hear talking from the singer, and the music quality is massively impacted. Staff are really nice though. I'd avoid this venue if there are alternatives.
Surprisingly, first time ever in this venue, my apologies. Nine of us in to see the Dualers. What a venue, what a band, great night. Bar service was excellent. Support act were fantastic, the MC/ DJ was superb and Tyber and the boys were their usual amazing selves. Bravo everyone.
One of my favourite venues at the moment - not so big you can't see the band, and not so small you are all crushed in.
A really great venue for music. Capacity 2500! Especially appreciate the number of bars dotted across the edges and the stepped platforms so even at the back you've still got a good chance of seeing the stage. Stage is also raised at about head height for those stuck behind a tall person at the front. Beautiful architecture and sound quality. Lots of memories from gigs 20 years ago and now recently too! Not specifically on this visit but I've always had good service from O2 venues when regarding accessibility and mobility requirements for those I've been with.
I’ve been coming here for 14 years and it’s a great venue, feel it has gotten better in recent years. I always found the sound to be poor but no longer - it’s really good. Drinks are good and love the intimate vibe of the venue. Staff are also great.
Really great, little venue booked a nice hotel right beside the Hydro, because that's were I thought the show was. Plonker right , so after a panic cab ride, we joined the long Q, TF. All in a gr8 right out, out.
Fantastic venue. Great atmosphere, and the gig was out of this world. I was seated in the balcony, only a slight issue. The seat I was in tilted forward. Perhaps they need up dated.
Attended a Pixies gig here, and the view from the balcony was awesome! Bar staff were friendly and efficient, but they only served plain cider, as opposed to fruity cider. Overall, a decent venue.
Good acoustics and good sight lines from floor and balcony. Bar on raised podium behind floor. Stage visible from bar area but cramped view from there.
My favourite venue in Glasgow. Drinks are pricey but not any more so than any other venue. Simple and charming concert hall where I've spent many hours screeching at the top of my lungs
