About

O’s Thai Café produces great Thai food combined with inexpensive drinks in a lively environment

Story

O’s Thai Café is a designer canteen with a floor raised a metre above street level, and a glass-fronted, wedge-shaped, cream-walled dining area decked out in pale wood flooring and furniture and is located by the clock-tower in the centre of Crouch End.

O’s Thai Café produces great Thai food combined with inexpensive drinks in a lively environment. Choose from the main or set menus or from the selection of specials on the chalkboards.

The food is authentically Thai in flavour served without fuss and no hidden extras - rice is included and there is no cover charge and no service charge for tables of fewer than five people.

O’s Thai Café has a deservedly excellent reputation as you can see from our many reviews and was listed as one of the Top 100 restaurants in London.

O’s owner and head chef, Somchai Kantavanich, has the Thai nickname ‘O’ that gives the name to the restaurant. O has combined his Thai cultural background with his flair as a former fashion designer to serve food of high quality, taste and value in an environment that is fun, stylish and affordable.

O is obsessed with producing great food and insists on using only the freshest ingredients from sources he knows and trusts and with whom he have worked for many years and uses authentic Thai ingredients that are specially imported. We offer a wide range of fish and meat dishes and every dish has a vegetarian option.

Our over-arching philosophy is to keep things simple, classic and authentically Thai with modern British and European twists and presentation.

Ticks all the boxes. Look no further if craving Thai food. Went with friends and we all enjoyed our food. I found the red curry delicious. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. Will definitely visit again if i'm in the area. Its a lovely restaurant.Food: 5/5
I'm not one to leave reviews but my utter disappointment has driven me to do so. I'm not quite sure how that passes as Thai food. No flavour, severe lack of seasoning and no spice at all! It was so bland and did not taste anything remotely like authentic Thai food. I've had nicer microwave meals from Waitrose. Shockingly bad! Zero stars. I want a refund.
Hands down the best Thai food in North London. Keep an eye on their specials as they are always nice. Fried rice was delicious too. Their starters are not to be missed, especially the dumplings and prawn toast.Food: 5/5
I’ve been going here for 5 years and food never disappoints, it is our little gem in the middle of Crouch End. Every friend that I introduce it to ends up becoming a regular. Decent price, atmosphere and fresh authentic food.Food: 5/5
I’ve been coming to O’s Thai cafe for a few years now with my twin sister and our friends and the food is amazing!! I eat in and have as take away.. the food is brilliant the service is always great, the staff are friendly and help with recommendations off the menu. We always order loads!! Then get to take home if we are stuffed!! After a stressful day at work it’s nice to know I can order food that I know is gonna be great or eat in and be looked after with lovely service.. thanks team O’Thai! ..Julie Harper xx
We've been going here for a few tears now and it never fails. Anything we order we are satisfied. The prices are also reasonable. The staff are polite. This is our go - to Thai restaurant. We've tried others but we keep coming back to this one. Love it!
Dining at O’s Thai Cafe was a delightful experience. The Khao Pad Hai Yai stood out with its authentic taste. The prices are reasonable for the portion size. Would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for delicious Thai food in a comfortable setting.
So dissapointed ... I had one the most expensive meals on the menu - a chef's special... it was inedible. The tuna steak was so overcooked I couldn't even chew it. The flavours were bland and oily. I ate the rice and veg hungry. I complained, the manager gave me 10% off... oh wow thanks... I loved paying over £12 for an inedible tuna steak when the mains are generally £7-8. Not only that, the fresh spring roll was anything but fresh... they were dry... sad amount of prawn that seemed to have been frozen, then boiled, then refrigerated, then microwaved. Nothing was tender and the textures were awful. The wait staff however, were lovely.
Wonderful neighborhood Thai restaurant! Be sure to ask for "Thai style spicy" if you like spicy food! We love the sea bass special especially, and the flying tiger steak is delicious! Staff are super friendly and helpful - we will be coming back for sure!
Amazing! One of the best Thai we have ever experienced in London. Nice atmosphere, careful service and astonishing food. If you are in the area, don't miss it!! We will come again for sure!
