This library is fantastic. The children's library in particular is so welcoming and well stocked - great for keeping toddlers entertained on a rainy day. And the ability to borrow E-books and audiobooks is fantastic.
Terrible place to work. Children allowed to run round screaming for hours where people are trying to work/ read. Also not a particularly good book selection for such a large building - very sparse shelves.
An amazing place to study and work, with an excellent collection of books, from best sellers to academic titles. Really good place!
The study room in this library is a poor place to work. It is placed right above the children's library, and so the screams and shouts of young kids can make it very distracting to study here. To make ths space louder, there have been building works going on right outside the library for at least the whole of summar 2022 which are irritating and constant. Furthermore, the rooms just outside the study room are often used for events, which adds further to the noise. Charity painting sales and kids' sports events may be nice, but why right outside a study space?! To make matters worse, the wifi here is often poor and disconnects regularly, and the seats get uncomfortable after sitting in them for a few hours. All of this combined fails to create a quiet, productive space for locals to get work done. As a local student, this is disappointing to say the least!
Lovely mid-century building with quiet work spaces, silent cinema haven’t yet been and a great selection of books, CDs and films.

Lovely large space children's area with great selection of books
Recently refurbished, so everything working well. The main library has lots of little tables and comfortable chairs, so very cosy for browsing. The reading rooms have great big tables, plenty of sockets and it's so very quiet. A superb library indeed.
Hi! This library is really good. However I think it could be nice to have a coffee machine due to sometimes I have to leave my work space and when I came back, someone is in that space... I think that a coffee machine would do the work so much easier and comfortable. Apart from that, the library is so lovely!
really nice library but no connectivity you would expect a library with no 5g/4g signal to have good wifi to compensate for that but the wifi is shockingly worse than the one bar of 4g. There is almost no wifi signal in the study areas and even the 1 bar that regularly connects and disconnects is unusable due to the slow speeds
